What would you do? Payroll Inputs Oversee the collection, validation, and consolidation of all payroll input data (e.g., time sheets, allowances, bonuses, deductions, leave records) from multiple sources and business units. Coordinate with HR, Finance, and business teams to ensure timely and accurate submission of payroll inputs. Review and approve payroll input templates and data files for completeness and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. Identify and resolve discrepancies or missing information in payroll inputs before processing. Support automation initiatives for payroll data collection (e.g., integration with Enterprise Data Cloud, Workday, or other HRIS platforms). Ensure data privacy and security protocols are strictly followed when handling sensitive employee information. Maintain audit trails and documentation for all payroll input activities. Payroll Reports Generate, review, and distribute regular and ad hoc payroll reports (e.g., payroll summaries, variance analysis, headcount reports, cost center breakdowns) to relevant stakeholders. Analyze payroll data to identify trends, anomalies, or potential issues (e.g., overpayments, underpayments, compliance risks). Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all payroll reporting in line with internal SLAs and external regulatory requirements. Support management with payroll analytics for decision-making, budgeting, and forecasting (e.g., using Payroll Analytics Tools or dashboards). Prepare statutory payroll reports for tax authorities, social security, and other regulatory bodies as required. Collaborate with IT and analytics teams to enhance reporting capabilities and automate report generation where possible. Maintain documentation Payroll Controls Design, implement, and monitor payroll controls to ensure compliance with internal policies, SOX, and external regulations. Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of payroll data (e.g., gross-to-net calculations, payroll vs. general ledger, exception reports). Utilize tools such as the Accenture HR Audit and Compliance Tool to automate exception checking and quality assurance. Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, errors, or control breaches promptly. Document and maintain payroll control procedures, checklists, and risk assessments. Coordinate with internal/external auditors during payroll audits, providing required data and explanations. Continuously review and update payroll controls in response to changes in business processes, legislation, or audit findings. What are we looking for? Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field (required). Professional payroll certification preferred (e.g., APA Fundamental Payroll Certification, CIPP Payroll Technician Certificate, SHRM, IFEBP Group Benefits Associate). 3-5 years of experience in payroll operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or specialist role. Experience with global/multi-country payroll is an advantage. Knowledge of local labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory compliance relevant to payroll. Experience with payroll process automation, analytics, and digital tools is highly desirable. Demonstrated track record of process improvement and operational excellence in payroll. Additional Responsibilities Support payroll system upgrades, migrations, and UAT (User Acceptance Testing). Train and mentor junior payroll team members. Ensure compliance with data privacy, SOX, and local labor laws. Contribute to payroll process documentation and knowledge management. Technical Skills Advanced knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., SAP Payroll, Workday, Oracle, ADP, SuccessFactors). Proficiency in MS Excel, data analysis, and payroll reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Payroll Analytics Tool). Understanding of payroll controls, audit processes, and compliance requirements. Familiarity with HRIS/timekeeping integrations (e.g., KRONOS, custom orgs). Experience with payroll reconciliation and exception management tools (e.g., Accenture Payroll Reconciliation Tool, Data Comparison Manager). Process & Analytical Skills Strong process orientation and attention to detail. Ability to analyze payroll data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions. Experience in process documentation, process mapping (BPMN/EPC), and process improvement. Risk identification and mitigation skills.
