Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Responsible for design and development of Body Electrical parts of Automotive Switches Like Drive position switch, Mode switch, Head lamp High/low beam selection switch, Turn Indicator switches, wiper switch, Hazard switch, horn switch, park lamp switch, ignition switches, Gear shifter Knob, Combination switch, and Fuel mode selection switches with key deliverables being:

1. Prepare SOR based on feature list and system architecture inputs.
2. Check feasibility of styling sketches early in the project and provide design feedback.
3. Define clear interface requirements with cross-functional teams.
4. Define performance, reliability test parameters, and procedures for switches.
5. Prepare DVP and coordinate with suppliers and testing teams for execution.
6. Evaluate techno-commercial proposals and sign off TSO.
7. Clear the layout and packaging of parts in vehicle DMU from concept stage considering functionality and manufacturability.
8. Conduct design reviews (DR), FMEA, and apply other design tools.
9. Proceed with TKO and release drawings.
10. Meet cost targets without compromising on quality and explore cost-effective solutions via IMCR/VAVE activities.
11. Track global trends in technology and regulations, and develop long-term roadmaps and work plans.
12. Benchmark and generate ideas for better performance, quality, cost, and weight.
13. Perform root cause analysis for quality issues using QC tools and implement countermeasures.
14. Define project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure targeted deliveries.
15. Ensure designs comply with internal and external standards and governmental regulations (AIS, ISO & IS standards).
