TBM-Apptio-Consultant
Position description

• Member of engagement team for Technology Business Management (Apptio TBM) implementations.
• Design, develop and configure Technology Business Management models in TBM solutions
• Understand functional and business requirements from either the client or EY engagement team and translate into a technical design, which meets customer needs, provides maximum solution value, and is within scope of Technology Business Management tools.
• Understand, validate and manipulate multiple datasets in preparation to load into the Technology Business Management tool.
• Configure, test, & document TBM solution dashboards, reports and underlying data models to meet functional design and specifications.
• Work closely with other consultants to leverage skill sets and deliverables.

Business qualifications

• Strong understanding of financial concepts such as General Ledger, CapEx, OpEx, Actuals, Budget and Forecast
• Good knowledge of IT Cost (TCO for Applications, Projects and Services)
• Good understanding of Operational data supporting IT (Labor, Timesheet, Projects etc.) and IT Infrastructure concepts such as Server, Storage, Virtualization, Database and Network

Technical qualifications

• 3-5 Years of experience in implementing Apptio TBM solutions and managing operations i.e. configuring models and reports/dashboards and maintenance – IT Planning, Cost Transparency, Bill of IT, Cloudability
• Experience with data dictionaries, data analysis and relational databases
• Skilled at working with large data sets, quickly detecting and resolving data-related issues
• Skilled at data analytics and visualization using BI tools like Power BI, Qlik sense
• Skilled at completing technical design via iterative prototypes and wireframes
  

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience
• Relevant certifications such as Apptio Recognized TBMA, PMP, or ITIL are preferred
• Client-focused attitude
• Ability to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter – able to come up to speed on complex, difficult concepts with minimal assistance
• Team player with solid communication and presentation skills
• Ability to breakdown complex information into simple solution requirements
• Strong to expert skills in data analysis/manipulation
• Knowledge of enterprise IT organizational, business, and technical environments
