Director

Roles & responsibilities 
The Director, ACH Operations provides strategic leadership and operational oversight across people, process, and business dimensions. This role ensures delivery excellence, drives innovation, fosters talent development, and strengthens relationships with global stakeholders to achieve organizational goals. The role is designed to implement, execute, and drive priorities on behalf of the ACH leader, often acting as their delegate. It involves close collaboration with all GDC leaders to ensure effective coordination and execution of ACH strategy, communications, budgets, and activities. Serving as a trusted advisor and the voice of the ACH leader, the role requires frequent communication with various US and GDC stakeholders. Additionally, the position is responsible for coordinating ACH operational activities, fostering cohesion and alignment with other GDC groups to support overall GDC goals. The role also involves active engagement to contribute to idea generation, process development, best practice sharing, and feedback on strategic initiatives. 
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership: Manage operational activities of a large span of professionals across Bangalore, Kochi and Kolkata, including manage Performance Management cycles and feedback processes, approve leave and WFH, lead attrition strategies specifically focused on retaining high performing professionals, manage employee engagement initiatives, monitor and support compliance with mandatory training and CPE requirements, and closely work with and support the US Rotation program, including the transition of professionals and initiatives for the program.


Business Management: In support of executing ACH operational and financial priorities and goals in accordance with audit quality and the system of quality controls, liaise and collaborate with other groups (i.e. Resource Management, Human Resources, Learning and Development, Talent Acquisition, Audit Quality, US Global Delivery Team (GDT), etc.) to partner together to identify solutions to challenges that arise and raise issues to the ACH leader in a timely manner. Drive innovation and efficiency through tool adoption and process improvements. Conduct whitespace analysis and collaborate with US GDT to identify new opportunities (e.g., industry/BU specific opportunities, overall continuous improvement opportunities, etc.). Coordinate and prepare meeting agenda and materials for staff and leadership meetings and monitor completion of resulting action items. Develop and drive internal communications on behalf of the ACH leader, as appropriate.
Process & Governance: Lead change management and process standardization initiatives. Ensure compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements. Support strategic projects and transformation programs.

Mandatory  technical & functional skills
strategic initiatives, while maintaining exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills. 
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 programs, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to learn, adopt, and implement new technology tools.
Strong project management skills, particularly managing stakeholders’ expectations and proactively communicating issues, solutions and progress, internally and with US stakeholders.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and effective upward management and cross team communication.
Ability to confidently lead meetings, calls and group discussions with senior level audiences, internally and with US stakeholders.
Possess well-developed data analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills and effectively communicate with a wide range of US stakeholders at various levels.
Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and propose and implement solutions.

Educational qualifications 
CA/CPA/ACCA (active membership)
Work experience
12+ years of post-qualification experience in Big 4 audit practice or their shared service center.
