Within Data & Analytics, the Marketing Analytics & Insights team plays a critical role in shaping how Target communicates with and inspires guests. The team uses advanced analytics, data science, and storytelling to connect creative and marketing investments to measurable business outcomes.
About the Role
As Director, Marketing Analytics & Insights – Content & Creative, you will define and lead the vision for how Target measures, optimizes, and scales creative and content performance.
You will be a key strategic partner to Marketing, Creative, Media, and Digital teams—helping to embed data-informed decision-making into every stage of the content creation supply chain, from ideation to execution to performance optimization.
You will oversee a growing team of data and analytics professionals, leading them to develop advanced creative measurement frameworks, next-generation analytics products, and test-and-learn programs that elevate the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of Target’s marketing content.
This role requires a strong balance of strategic leadership, creative empathy, and technical analytics depth.

Enable Creative teams to make data-informed decisions that balance artistry with evidence—demonstrating how great creative drives measurable guest and brand outcomes.
Collaborate with Creative Operations to bring visibility into the end-to-end content creation supply chain, identifying opportunities to optimize timelines, cost efficiency, and output quality.
3. Creative and Content Analytics Excellence

Build social and digital analytics capabilities to measure and optimize performance across platforms like Meta, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, and emerging channels.
Champion a culture of experimentation—defining A/B and multivariate testing strategies to continuously learn what creative resonates best with guests.
Develop insights-to-action processes that link creative attributes (tone, message, style, diversity) to guest engagement and conversion outcomes.
Work with media and digital analytics teams to unify creative performance data with media efficiency and audience segmentation insights.
4. Scaling the Team and Capability Development
Lead and mentor a growing team of analysts, data scientists, and BI professionals focused on creative and marketing analytics.
Build an inclusive, growth-oriented team culture centered on curiosity, creativity, and continuous learning.
Identify skill gaps and design a capability roadmap for the team—expanding expertise in computer vision, AI-driven creative tagging, predictive analytics, and cross-channel attribution.
