Electronic Control Unit (ECU) Reliability Engineer

Qualification: B.E/ M.Tech reliability/Design/thermal

Location: Bengaluru

Requirements:

• Prior experience in reliability of control units.

• Experience in Commercial vehicles domain is preferred.

• Knowledge of Field load calculations

• Ability to validate designs based on targeted failure modes

• Technical Failure Analysis and Risk Assessments based on the need 

• Good understanding of Thermal, Mechanical & Thermo-mechanical phenomena during

validation

• Understanding of Concept of Design for Reliability (DfR, V-model etc)

• Knowledge of common failure modes of electronic components

• Aging laws for electronic components

• Risk analysis, PPM calculations

• Knowledge of statistical tools like Minitab, Weibull++

• Understanding customer requirements and transferring them to validation plan

• Writing a validation plan for product

• Usage of AEC-Q, ISO-16750, IEC, DIN Standards to derive test plan

• Knowledge of Validation test equipment's

• Thorough knowledge of conducting Ingress Protection (IP) tests

• Awareness of the AE & PS Processes

• 8D, CAR, DFMEA, FTA & DRBFM techniques

• Good knowledge of validation lab practices
