Position Title: EHS Executive
Department: Facilities Management / Operations
Location: Bangalore
Reports To: EHS Manager / Facilities Manager
Role Overview
The EHS Executive is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) programs across the assigned facility. The role ensures compliance with statutory regulations, corporate standards, and industry best practices while proactively identifying hazards, managing risks, and supporting safe operations. This includes key responsibilities in risk management, contractor safety, chemical safety, gases handling, incident management, and EHS reporting
Key Responsibilities
A. EHS Compliance & Management Systems
Ensure compliance with all applicable national and local EHS regulations.
Maintain relevant EHS documentation, SOPs, JSAs, method statements, and risk assessments.
Continuously update knowledge of EHS legislation and communicate changes to stakeholders.
B. Risk Management & Operational Safety
Conduct routine safety inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
Ensure Permit to Work (PTW) and Pre‑Task Planning processes are strictly followed.
Monitor and enforce proper usage of PPE, ensuring availability of adequate inventory.
Oversee engineering controls, machine safety, material handling safety, and fire safety systems.
Familiarity with emergency response planning and fire protection systems.
Knowledge of LOTO procedures, machine safety, and industrial safety controls.
C. Contractor Safety Management
Verify compliance of contractor documentation with EHS requirements before initiating work.
Ensure contractors follow EHS standards, PTW requirements, and safe work practices.
Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, and inductions for contractors.
D. Incident Management
Support investigations of incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and chemical/gas-related alerts in portal (RMBWA & SIPP)
Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions (8D Analysis)
Track closure of action items and maintain incident documentation.
E. Training & Awareness
Conduct EHS training programs for facility teams, project teams, and contractors.
Deliver specialized training on:
Chemical handling & storage
Gas cylinder safety
Spill prevention & response
Emergency evacuation and fire safety
Promote safety culture through awareness campaigns and behavioral safety initiatives.
F. Reporting & Documentation
Prepare monthly EHS performance reports, including incident statistics, audit findings, chemical inventory, and compliance status.
Maintain records of inspections, PTW, training, incident investigations, and statutory documents

Essential Qualifications & Skills
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Environmental Science / Occupational Health or related discipline.
Experience
3–5 years of relevant EHS experience in facility management, industrial operations, Perto chemical plants, pharma and basic knowledge of semiconductor industry
Work Environment
On-site responsibilities require routine walkthroughs.
Coordination with operations, contractors, project teams, and corporate EHS departments.
Require movement across multiple sites.
