Engineer – HW Optical

What you work:

• Contribute as Optical Engineer in various development projects. 
• Be part of cross functional product development teams involving electronics, mechanics, software, and test. 
• Work with advanced optical technologies like XQAM, Coherent Systems, multi-Band (C+L) transmission system, ROADMs, Raman/ EDFA-amplifiers etc.. 
• Work closely with multiple optical module vendors to converge on design and specifications, from prototype development to mass production. 
• Characterize optical performance of pluggable transceivers and passive- or active components 
• Prepare optical specification, test plans, and test reports with clarity and on a detailed level. 
• Product maintenance and failure analysis for optical line cards. 
• Provide support to colleagues and actively share knowledge 

 Mandatory skills:

• M.Sc. in Physics, Telecommunication, or similar, with a 1+ years of industry experience or fresher 
• Solid domain knowledge of the fiber optics for telecommunications. 
• Deep understanding of optoelectronics components such as Optical Amplifiers, WSS, Filters, and system level design, optical network design and deployment aspects. 
• Experience from work in HW/Opto laboratory with test instruments like BERT, OSA, High speed oscilloscopes. 
• Experience from SW development for optical modelling and lab application using Python, Matlab/Scilab or similar. 

Desired skills:

• Basic understanding of HW optical 
• Good debugging skills, log analysis and solving Field issues. 
• Good knowledge with fiber optics 

 Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience: 1 to 3 years’ experience from Telecommunication or Networking background. 
• Education: B.Tech/BE or M.Sc Physics or any other equivalent degree 
• Candidate should be good at HW fiber optics
