Engineering Manager, Core Data, Information Retrieval, Data Indexing

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience as a software engineer.
• 5 years of experience in leading product engineering teams and driving software architectural innovations.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working with Infrastructure Platforms.
• Ability to design and complete projects independently.
• Ability to balance advocating for the customer and the needs of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Build a team to re-think Indexing at Google and help us build the next generation Indexing System.
• Work on the core indexing platform that's empowering many critical Google products such as Google search, GDM, YouTube, Shopping, and associated products that leverage Google indexed data.
• Discover how indexing infrastructure works at a planet scale and make critical contributions to define its future.
