Engineering Manager - International

Job Summary - As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of strong engineers to build scalable, high-performance systems that power JioStar’s advertising capabilities - from ad delivery and targeting to measurement and optimization. You’ll be responsible for setting technical direction, driving architectural decisions, and ensuring engineering excellence while closely collaborating with Product, Data, and Business teams. Your role will require balancing long-term vision with hands-on execution while fostering a high-performing and collaborative engineering culture. This is a high-ownership role for leaders who thrive on solving complex system problems.

What will you do?

  • Collaborate with Product and Data teams to define technical strategy and drive measurable business outcomes
  • Guide technical architecture discussions, help unblock complex problems, and ensure system scalability, resilience, and cost-efficiency
  • Build and nurture a high-performing team through mentorship, hiring, feedback, and career development
  • Establish and manage team processes for planning, execution, and continuous improvement
  • Represent the team in leadership forums, contributing to broader organizational direction and tech strategy
  • Lead by example through code/design reviews and technical guidance when required

    • Who should apply for this role?

  • Hands-on experience with backend systems using Java, Golang, or Python
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architecture
  • Familiarity with high-scale databases (MySQL, Redis, Cassandra, DynamoDB) and streaming/message queues (Kafka)
  • Production experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS)Track record of delivering cross-functional projects and growing engineering talent
