Engineering Manager, Megamind, Live Abuse Management

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
• 3 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in one or more of the following: Infrastructure Design, Platform as a Service, Backend.

Responsibilities

• Understand User Generated Content (UGC) requirements for Geo and help with the solutions to provide the capabilities as a platform.
• Support technical direction, prioritize projects. Apply Google's engineering practices in order to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve the ecosystem.
• Build scalable infrastructure to help maintain trust for UGC for all Geo products.
• Collaborate and drive complex projects while engaging with multiple other ML and infrastructure teams within Geo and Google.
