Role: Engineering Quotation Leader

The Engineering Quote Lead is responsible to manage the creation, review, and delivery of engineering cost estimates and quotations for customer proposals and internal programs. The ideal candidate will have a solid engineering background, strong business acumen, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to develop accurate and competitive engineering quotes. This role is critical in shaping project feasibility, profitability, and successful customer engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end preparation of engineering quotations for new programs, RFQs and change requests
• Assemble cross-functional inputs from design, hardware, software, validation, manufacturing, procurement and supply chains
• Ensure quote packages accurately reflect scope, cost, assumptions, risks and timelines
• Analyze customer requirements, specifications and technical documents
• Breakdown requirements into engineering tasks and estimate effort, resource needs and timelines
• Validate estimates with technical leads and Program management team to ensure consistency with organizational capability
• Work with finance and program management to incorporate overheads, margins and commercial factors
• Benchmark cost models using historical data and internal estimation standards
• Facilitate quote review meetings with engineering, program management, operations, and leadership teams. 
• Ensure alignment between customer expectations and internal capability. 
• Support customer interactions during technical discussions and quote negotiations.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or key account management within the automotive Tier 1 environment.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power/Tableau and data driven decision making
• Strong understanding of automotive systems and manufacturing processes.
