Bengaluru Technical Center, India currently has ~500 engineers working on 6 different competencies mainly software and systems supporting multiple awarded projects and internal platform development activities for the PDS organization.

General responsibilities of this position include being part of Finance team in Bengaluru, India responsible for Engineering financial reporting, including forecasts (Cost, Head count and Capital Expenditure), budgets (Cost, Head count and Capital Expenditure), cost allocations, variance analysis, - R&D reporting systems and (e.g.,EMT) reports, adhering to BW controls and process and taking complete ownership of the Engineering Finance planning activites..

The position reports to the Finance controller, PDS Technical Center, India and will be located at the Bengaluru facility in India.

Qualifications and Requirements:

 

Education/Experience

·       Master’s Degree in accounting or finance

·       CA-Inter/MBA a plus

·       3+ plus years of experience in workforce planning, scheduling & rostering

·       Working in an Engineering industry will be an added advantage.

Key Accountabilities:

 

• Supports the Site Leadership & Lead Finance in the areas of Engineering Resource Planning, Budget, Forecast & Actual Performance, and Engineering Capital Spending

 

• Maintain accurate cost center reporting and control for Engineering R & D reporting and for other functional disciplines as required.

 

• This position will assist the engineering managers in the identification and implementation of corrective actions to ensure target achievement.

 

• Communicate monthly R&D reporting package with regular reviews of budget status with the engineering leadership team.  Frequently review, challenge and adapt the engineering reporting systems to adhere to business needs and objectives.

 

• Coordinates and leads regular interfaces, liaises, and communicates with the R&D community on actual results and forecast.  Establishes the link on project vs. department reporting and analysis.

 

• Facilitate the project expense tracking & billing of R&D services across all legal entities to support local statutory reporting requirements.  Maintain all internal engineering service agreements.

 

• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of the project reporting systems to ensure timely closure of projects and accurate project allocations.   Perform periodic audits of time records to validate completeness.

 

• Facilitate the preparation of Engineering budget and long-range plan.   Use targets to align resource planning.  Prepare necessary graphics for management review of R&D budget. 

 

• Support R&D function in the quoting of Design and Development costs as required as well as providing financial awareness education to the organization.

 

• Review Engineering AR prepared at site before management approval.

 

• Special Assignments – Responsible for completion of special assignments as required
