Summary
An exciting opportunity for Finance Lead- Revenue Recognition have arisen to influence and shape the future of the Rolls-Royce GBS business in India. The roles involve working with business and external stakeholders to support the delivery of key programme milestones thus enabling smooth business delivery to customers.
This is an individual contributor role to deliver Revenue Recognition services according to process specifications and standard operating procedures (SOP) in compliance with defined controls. This includes the coordination of all processes / activities related to period closings and the timely and complete delivery of reports and insights to Business.
In this role you report to the Finance Manager, and you closely co-operate with the business finance teams in a matrix structure.
What you will be doing:
Service Revenue recognition
- Review revenue contracts and perform revenue Recognition in accordance with IFRS15 and Group Guidelines
- Provide advice to Business Unit (BU) on service job revenue recognition and costing
- Maintain Internal Orders for Service job in SAP.
- Follow up on outstanding or partial completion jobs status
- Calculate manhour provisions for month end Work in Progress
- Perform Results Analysis & Settlements in SAP and other monthly closing procedures
- Prepare and analyze the monthly Service Sales Margins. Report and highlight profitability issues to BU and make recommendations.
- Prepare balance sheet schedules for month end reporting
- Process invoice, credit notes and debit notes from vendors. Liaise with vendor and other stakeholders in resolving discrepancies.
Spare Parts Revenue recognition
- Review Spare Parts revenue and costs adjustments related to Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Retail Inventory Management System (RIM)
- Review inventory transactions for any abnormalities, investigate the causes and provide advice for remediation
- Follow up on aged items GRIR clearings
- Perform settlements for RIM Internal Orders
- Post month end entries and ensure that they are completed on time and accurately
- Review and update Inventory schedules for month end reporting
Inventory count valuation
- Review accuracy of standard costs of materials. Rectify with the Operations team on errors
- Develop and implement new count procedures in accordance with Group guideline and local statutory audit requirement
- Perform yearly interim and final Stock Count in accordance to Accounting Standards & Group Guidelines
- Coordinate and report monthly cycle count. Highlight issues and recommend next course of action
Core Management
- Process Core Deposit documents
- Execute Core Discharges in the The Core Management System (TCMS)
- Reconcile SAP core balances with TCMS and intercompany balances.
Who we’re looking for:
- Qualified Accountants (CA/CMA/CPA/ACCA or equivalent).
- 8 years of related accounting experience.
- Well-versed with IFRS15 and related accounting standards,
- Strong stakeholder management.
- Well versed in Microsoft Office.
- Strong working knowledge in SAP ECC.
