Project Role : Financial Planning & Analysis RepresentaProject Role Description : Drive performance, strategic analysis and identification and correction of financial or operational concerns. Provide financial analysis to aid in decisions pertaining to the profitability and financial health of the organization.

Summary:
A1. Good understanding of Vertex configuration in Vertex OSeries, Vendor Recon, Vertex Accelerator.
a. Understand the behavior of this configuration and how all 3 are integrated within Vertex.
b. Understand how this configuration interacts and integrates with the SAP modules (VIM/SCM/MM/Ecomm, Fieldglass, AP).
c. Understand how these SAP modules work to determine Vertex configuration changes.
d. Assess impacts of changes in Vertex configuration on the various SAP modules.
e. Understand tax enough to have productive conversations with the business.
2. Understand and support Vertex setup and interaction with VIM, Ecomm, FieldGlass, AP, SCM, MM functionality. This is purely Vertex configuration knowledge. Understanding of how VIM, Ecomm, FieldGlass, AP, SCM, MM functions, its usage and workflow behavior is integrated with Vertex and vice versa. This is not sole VIM, Ecomm, FieldGlass, AP, SCM, MM knowledge, or Vertex knowledge alone but how the various products are integrated and behave cross-functionally.
3. Understanding of U.S. Sales & Use Tax and Canadian GST/HST/QST/PST. Good understanding of tax, this is specialized and not a FICO/SCM (For example, FICO has a basic understanding of accounting and audit requirement. SCM has basic understanding of the procurement cycle, Treasury support understands Treasury concepts unique to the area). You need to have a basic understanding of tax to be able to contribute to business conversations, understand their needs and issues and asks.
4. Ability to Translate the business requirements, understand what needs to be changed from a technical standpoint in Vertex OSeries, Vertex SAP or SAP while understanding all the integration points and associated risk. This requires a good understanding of tax in general.
5. Good understanding of business processes to understand the best configuration options, ability to assess impacts of configuration changes.
6. Experience in end-to-end implementation of Vertex O Series integrated with SAP (ECC & S/4HANA) for U.S. & Canada to improve indirect tax accuracy and compliance.
7. Understand end-to-end processing of documents with tax determination from the Various SAP modules and how the information is passed back and forth between the systems at various and mutliple points of the process.
8. Experience in configuring and maintaining Vertex taxability rules, Tax Assist logic, and jurisdiction mapping for U.S. Sales & Use Tax and Canadian GST/HST/QST/PST including configuring VENDORecon rules
9. Designed and/or have a detailed knowledge of SAP FI/AP/MM/SCM module configurations to support Vertex O Series integration
10. Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical requirements to implement solutions
11. Conducted system testing (UAT, regression, integration) and resolved tax calculation discrepancies across SAP and all the various Vertex platforms. Be able to identify at which integration point is the source of the issue.
12. Provided troubleshooting support to ensure smooth operation of Vertex-SAP integration. Have enough understanding of business tax, Vertex configuration and SAP functionality to understand issues identified (you can t fix a problem you don t understand), identify the configuration piece(s), and understand the full impacts of this configuration to discuss with business.
13. Experience in developing and maintaining documentation for tax configuration, process flows, and compliance procedures
