Role Overview

We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to drive advanced analytics and predictive modelling within the FP&A function. This role will focus on building scalable ML models to improve forecasting accuracy, scenario planning, budgeting automation, and financial decision support.

You will partner closely with FP&A leaders, Finance Business Partners, Data Engineering, and Business Intelligence teams to transform financial data into predictive insights and intelligent automation.

Partners with the businesses to ensure that the capital strategies are operationally supported and strategically focused to secure the greatest return on investment for the global company. Gathers financial data and performs financial analyses and reporting (e.g., profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow, pricing, etc.) to influence decisions within the business and to drive cross-business initiatives (e.g., Mergers & Acquisitions). Drives the forecasting process (weekly, monthly, and long term) by analyzing trends within the businesses and ensuring alignment with business- and corporate-wide objectives. Communicates and drives adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the organization's financial goals and policies. Has the fiduciary responsibility to represent financial results correctly both internally and externally. Ensures strong business controls.

Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.

What you’ll do:

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy machine learning models for revenue forecasting, cost modelling, cash flow prediction, and financial scenario analysis
  • Build automated forecasting systems that reduce manual planning cycles
  • Create anomaly detection models for budget variance analysis and financial risk monitoring
  • Develop driver-based planning models leveraging statistical and ML techniques
  • Partner with FP&A teams to translate business requirements into analytical solutions
  • Design scalable data pipelines to integrate Snowflake, Databricks and operational data sources
  • Implement model monitoring, governance, and explainability frameworks
  • Present model outputs and insights to finance leadership in business-friendly language

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Typically 6+ years of experience as a financial analyst.
  • Typically experienced in more than one finance function.

  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis, with advanced knowledge in one area.
