Job Description
This role acts as the Center of Expertise (CoE) for Employee Relations, Blue Collar Workforce Strategy, and Technical Capability Development across Bosch India. The role defines policy frameworks, industrial relations strategy, skill development architecture, and workforce capability models while enabling HRLs/HRBPs and plants to implement them effectively. The role focuses on building organizational capabilities to proactively implement diverse labor models across RO-IN, including apprenticeship programs such as NAPS/NATS and other training schemes aligned with national initiatives. These models are designed to meet business requirements while improving cost competitiveness and supporting the introduction of new products in plants.
To lead the Employee Relations (ER) across Bosch India excluding RBIN i.e. RBAI, RBIC, DCIN, BSH & BGSW by establishing robust industrial relations frameworks, strengthening workforce capability for blue-collar employees, and enabling HR Business Partners through strategic ER governance, policy frameworks, and capability building initiatives.
Qualifications
Postgraduate (MBA/PGDM/MSW) with specialization in HR/IR.
Degree in law/Diploma in labour law or thorough exposure on legal proceedings and labour law matters.

ER Strategy - Develop and implement country-level Employee Relations strategy aligned with business objectives. Establish ER governance frameworks and ensure consistency of ER practices across Bosch manufacturing locations. Provide strategic guidance to plant HRL teams and HRBPs on industrial relations matters. Review of ER systems and practices to drive strategies in ROIN minus RBIN for Organizational effectiveness and developmental.
Monitor ER policies and practices for robust measurement, reporting and execution systems.
Collective Bargaining & Union Engagement - Provide negotiation strategy and advisory support during collective bargaining processes. Guide HRBPs and plant leadership on union engagement, long-term settlements, and dispute resolution. Ensure proactive management of industrial relations climate across locations.
Industrial Dispute Management - Support resolution of complex industrial relations matters including labour disputes, conciliation proceedings, and litigation. Work closely with legal teams to ensure appropriate risk mitigation and compliance with statutory requirements.
Labour Compliance - Develop alternate approaches to compensation & benefits structuring for unionized employees aligned to business and legal requirements. Continuously assess & ensure compliance on impact of applicable legislation and education on legal matters.
Direct on legal matters and guidance in dealing with Plants in co-ordination with LSR centrally for smooth functioning
Assess internal and external Manpower design and wages & benefits for unionized employees for compliance on legislation
Communication, Change Management & Networking - Analyze and strengthen statutory compliance systems by integrating contemporary ER digital solutions and enhancing HR stakeholders’ capabilities to effectively address IR issues across the business.
Communicate Employee Relations practices to FLMs and talent to build strong shop-floor leadership and a future-ready pipeline. Implement SHE programs to support diversity and industrial harmony, while proactively managing plant work design and external interfaces with professional bodies, statutory authorities, and government agencies to represent Bosch consistently.
Center of Excellence (COEs) for various Trainee schemes (Regional Specific) - Establish and leverage Centers of Excellence (COEs) to enhance role effectiveness, build employability capabilities, and support the achievement of strategic business goals across plants.
Formulate policies and governance frameworks for non-statutory trainee schemes, including guidelines for managing trainees and temporary staff across RO-IN.
Provide guidance to plants in implementing diverse labor models and skill development programs to sustain cost competitiveness and strengthen organizational capabilities.
Design and implement skill development, continuing education, and periodic capability assessments while supporting Bosch’s value chain through upskilling, reskilling, and supplier workforce development initiatives.
RespoBosch Vocational Center (BVC / TCT) administering various training schemes/programmes - Develop and implement a forward-looking skill and competency framework aligned with future business needs across RO-IN.
Source trainees and deliver training in advanced and digital technologies to meet emerging trends and ensure organizational readiness.
Enhance trainee capabilities to improve employability and manage a well-equipped technical center that provides comprehensive training services.
Collaborate with institutes, industry bodies, and government entities, while mentoring master trainers and conducting faculty development programs to strengthen ITI and training ecosystems.
Center of Excellence Permanent workmen training (regional specific) - Designing and implementing diverse skill enhancement curricula tailored to meet plant-specific and regional business needs for permanent workers.
Develop and implement contemporary processes and skills for identification of the needs, development and delivery of the learning solutions.
Develop an algorithm for multiskilling and job rotation of team members.
Strengthen competencies in learning design, assessment creation and effective facilitation. Develop assessment center for career development.
