The EBS People Technology team supports the successful deployment and adoption of new People technology across the enterprise. People Technology is one of the major segments of Walmart Global Techs Enterprise Business Services, which is invested in building a compact, robust organization that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, and the Associate Digital Experience.

Enterprise Business Services (EBS) @ IDC Bangalore and Chennai in India are focused on data driven, highly optimized products and implementations in the areas of Finance, Procurement, Human Resources and Retail business functions for multiple Walmart markets with open stack technologies and other ERP tools.

What youll do:

This is a vital role with significant growth prospects. You will have work to do from day one and you will be counted on to create opportunities that align with the overall organization goals. Some of this roles key responsibilities are but not limited to:

• Lead, own, and/or support the development of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable front-end applications using React Native and React

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver software products that meet business goals and user needs

• Mentoring and guiding junior engineers in best practices, design patterns, and development methodologies

• Providing technical guidance and expertise to ensure the highest level of quality and performance in our front-end applications

• Enhancing usage, metrics, and logging details

• Support CI/CD effort, configuration, and enhancements

• Support in release, deployment activities, and production support rotation

• Staying up to date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of front-end development and applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement

• Work in an Agile environment as part of a scrum team

• Help design end-to-end system architecture for data-intensive applications

• Collaborate with machine learning engineers, applied researchers and data scientists to iteratively improve integration our Gen AI/ML services and refine MLOps practice

• Support production operations by participating in on-call rotations

What youll bring:

• You have 13+ years experience in designing and developing highly performant, scalable, and user-friendly web and mobile applications

• You have a bachelors/masters degree in computer science, information technology, or related area

• Expert level knowledge of React, React Native, Next Js, Typescript Node.js

• Experience in writing effective test cases and test automation

• Experience in implementing QE strategy, frameworks and automation for mobile and web applications.

• Experience releasing mobile solutions to App Store and Google play store, and web solutions to production

• Experience taking ideas to implementation

• Deep understanding, and experience of debugging issues in mobile and web applications

• Experience with data storage and data retrieval

• Experience with authorization and authentication frameworks in implementing those into mobile and web applications

• Experience with version control using Git in collaboration settings

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues and optimize application performance

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• A good understanding of and experience integrating with AI/ML/Gen AI services and components

• Excitement about delivering distributed machine learning systems at scale in production

• You are thorough and detail oriented

• You believe in the importance of establishing work standards and leveraging automations

• You have a history of collaboration, openness, honesty, timely decision making, and clear communication in both verbal and written forms

• You embrace lifelong learning - always learning new technologies and techniques. You are also engaged in the open-source communities to both find answers and help others
