KDNI_SAP_Project and Portfolio Management_Assistant Manager

Key Responsibilities
  • SAP PPM Configuration & Maintenance: Configure and maintain SAP PPM modules, including portfolio planning, project scheduling, resource allocation, and cost accounting.
  • Portfolio Alignment & Strategy Support: Enable strategic decision-making by assessing, prioritizing, and balancing portfolios based on business value, risk, and available resources.
  • Project Lifecycle Coordination: Support cross-functional teams to manage full project lifecycle: proposal, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure using SAP PPM tools.
  • Resource Management: Optimize resource assignments by analyzing availability and capacity in SAP, addressing potential bottlenecks across portfolios.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Monitor project risks and issues, develop mitigation plans, update decision-flow gates/statuses, and synchronize between PPM and PS.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Generate standard and ad-hoc SAP reports/dashboards to provide portfolio/project insights and support performance monitoring and informed decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Workshops: Facilitate regular workshops, stakeholder meetings, and training sessions to gather requirements, train end-users, and ensure adoption of PPM best practices.
  • User Support & Authorization Management: Assist in role and authorization design for SAP PPM users and administer user access via enterprise portal.
  • Post-Implementation & Continuous Improvement: Conduct reviews post-deployment, identify areas of improvement, and propose functional enhancements or system process refinements.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years SAP experience, including significant exposure to SAP PPM (modules 4.5, 5.0, 6.1 or S/4HANA PPM).
  • Strong understanding of integration between SAP PPM and PS, CPM, HCM, and financial systems.
  • Comfortable using reporting tools like SAP BI/BW.
  • Certifications (PMP, SAP PPM, SAP PS) preferred.
  • Solid project and portfolio management experience with ability to monitor scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Proficiency in conducting workshops, gathering requirements, and communicating with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and reporting skills.
  • Strong communication abilities and collaborative mindset.
Experience & Attributes
  • Proven track record in managing mid to large-scale SAP-centric projects or portfolios.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into PPM configurations and reports.
  • Experience facilitating decision-making processes and status gates within PPM.
  • Comfort managing multiple concurrent projects while achieving deadlines and quality standards.
