Lead AI Scientist

Role Summary

BBY India is seeking Lead Applied AI Scientist to play a key role in contributing towards enterprise Applied Machine Learning strategy bringing expertise in AI modeling. You will be deeply hands-on and play a key role in guiding top tier applied scientists while embracing inclusive leadership behaviors, working through ambiguity, demonstrating strong attention to detail, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

As a Lead Applied AI Scientist,

• in this role you will combine strategic thinking with your technical leadership skills, deep knowledge of AI algorithms and foundational software engineering expertise to lead design and development of AI applications that unleash the next generation of customer experiences and transform the way Best Buy operates day-to-day.

Team Overview

• The Data and AI enablement teams are enabling capabilities to accelerate end to end data and AI adoption across Advanced Analytics, Product Teams, and Best Buy Sales and Operations Teams.
• The broader team is responsible for data strategy, availability, and adoption via self-service tools including AI model registry, activation of models for business, multichannel testing, customer relationship measurement.
• This team is committed to delivering the right data and AI solutions following the guidelines provided in our Responsible AI principles.
• This role is in Best Buy’s Applied Machine Learning (AML) organization within the broader Data & AI enablement umbrella. AML is tasked with driving Best Buy’s AI journey to enhance customer facing experiences, improve internal operations, and productivity.
• The team leverages the best of AI models and implementation techniques for critical business domains like next gen search, product reviews & recommendations, price forecasting, fraud detection, cybersecurity and more.

Experience Range: 7 - 10 years
