Job Description 

The Team

EWT Engineering sit under Digital Lighthouse, Automation and Engineering. The person in the role will work with Enterprise-Wide Technology (EWT), CT (Consulting Data) and external providers (IBM, Kyndryl , Microsoft, AWS and GCP) teams developing and supporting cloud migrations, cloud cost transparency and cloud cross-charging technology solutions (KPMG UK), covering cloud architecture analysis (including transformation from older technologies to cloud-native), Cloud Services solutions design, implementation, automation and integration with internal and external systems and maintenance.   

Key Responsibilities

 

• Build, maintain and improve KPMG Cloud Cost and Usage Data Visualisation and Reporting Solution based on Power BI and SQL technologies and built as a SaaS solution.  
• Design and implement cloud cost and usage data integrations with Azure, AWS, GCP platforms and internal KPMG Finance systems
• Automate data integrations to simplify maintenance and usability of the KPMG Cloud Cost and Usage Data Visualisation and Reporting Solution
• Design roles and user management for the KPMG Cloud Cost and Usage Data Visualisation and Reporting Solution
• Advise on the best technologies and methods of cloud data integrations with existing and future KPMG cloud solutions under EWT Engineering management
• Support wider Infrastructure community by assisting other teams, sharing knowledge, debugging problems, contributing code and documentation to central KPMG projects and any other ad hoc requests
• Develop and support migration paths for AWS and GCP workloads onto Azure 
• Lead by example by living KPMG Values and embracing KPMG culture

The Person

 

• Proven experience in designing cloud solutions based on Power BI and SQL technologies and timely delivery of project deliverables.
• Proven experience with building Microsoft Azure cloud services and technologies 
• Proven experience in software development and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell /JSON/ Terraform
• Build it, run it, and take ownership of your code and infrastructure
• Proven experience working in an agile environment
• Ability to continuously learn, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
• Bring fresh ideas to the team and wider firm be it new software or containerisation of existing infrastructure and projects.
