Basic Function

 

  1. The position is responsible to perform variety of accounting functions related to Fixed Assets - Retail 
  2. The job also includes Fixed Assets Capex related activities to be completed in an accurate and timely manner 
  3. Maintain data and records in accordance with accounting standards & principles
  4. Exposure to following areas will be preferred in Fixed Assets process:
  5. Capex reviews for projects and analysis
  6. Master Data creation and it’s maintenance including Asset creation
  7. Month end Journal postings
  8. Account Reconciliations
  9. Review month end accruals, provisions and other journal entries
  10. Perform analytical review of the reports and reconciliations
  11. Build relationship and be the “Go To“ point for onshore team
  12. Collaborate with peers and other project resources as and when required
  13. Managing team including training and attrition of the team members

 

Essential Functions

 

  • To work closely with Onsite team on daily deliverables, adhoc requests and new initiatives
  • To ensure adherence to published procedures, timescales and guidelines
  • To analyze the Capex expenses of the project and create reclass entries if required
  • Analyze and prepare the month end Journal entries 
  • Updating and maintenance of logs and trackers in the process
  • Perform the quality check of the activities performed by the team members
  • Analyze and research all discrepancies/ open items in the account reconciliations.
  • Any other essential function that may occur from time to time as directed by the Supervisor to help to identify inefficiencies to the process and assist to drive process improvements activities
  • Ensure that the assigned targets are met in accordance with SLA and Internal standards

Primary Internal Interactions

 

  • Senior Manager for the purpose of service delivery, improvement initiatives and adhoc requests
  • Subject Matter Expert for the purpose of handling process related issues, queries and escalated transactions
  • Team members for the purpose for accurate and timely completion of processes, share feedback on the performance and in order to update the training curriculum

 

Primary External Interactions

 

  • Client Director for the purpose of reporting performance, escalation handling, clarifying concerns, seeking support and monthly evaluation of performance
  • Client trainers, SMEs and Operations for the purpose of developing and updating training.
  • Escalations at the client end for the purpose of seeking clarifications & answering queries

Technical Skills

  • Good computer navigation skills
  • Strong PC skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly strong in MS Excel & Word are a critical requirement
  • Exposure to SAP

Education Requirements

 

  • Bcom / Mcom/MBA at least 7-10 years of post-qualification experience

 

Work Experience Requirements

 

  • Total work experience should be 7 - 10 years in the field of Finance & Accounting preferably in retail sector
