Job Description

Manager, Global Delivery

Summary

Our Professional Services team partners with P&C insurers worldwide to deliver complex, cloud-based transformation programs on the Guidewire platform, with a strong focus on AI-enabled, efficient implementation. We are determined, collaborative, and data-driven, working closely with customers and partners to ensure every project delivers measurable value and accelerates cloud adoption.

Job Description

In this role, you will lead multiple Guidewire implementation projects end-to-end, driving scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholder alignment in an Agile environment. You will bring structure, governance, and risk management discipline to high-impact programs, while coaching teams and partners on Guidewire methodology and AI-enabled ways of working. This position directly supports Professional Services’ FY26 priorities to cut implementation effort and time through automation and new delivery methods, contributing to Guidewire’s mission to transform how the world’s P&C insurers do business.

What you’ll do

  • Manage the full lifecycle of multiple concurrent Guidewire implementation projects from initiation through go-live and stabilization, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with clear value outcomes.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Daily Scrums, Reviews, and Retrospectives) for Guidewire project teams, promoting outcome-focused planning and continuous improvement.
  • Drive and facilitate project governance, including steering committees, escalation forums, and decision-making routines between customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proactively manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality; identify, analyze, and prioritize project risks and issues; and implement mitigation and contingency plans to protect delivery commitments.
  • Coordinate and coach system integrators and other partners, managing expectations, tracking financials and costs, and preventing scope creep to safeguard release integrity.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, data-backed status updates and dashboards for senior stakeholders, using tools such as Jira, Rally, SharePoint, Confluence, and Microsoft Project.
  • Champion Professional Services’ FY26 priorities by embedding AI-enabled methods and automation into project execution to help reduce implementation effort and time, accelerate cloud adoption, and improve predictability and profitability.
  • At Guidewire, we foster a culture of curiosity, innovation, and responsible use of AI—empowering our teams to continuously leverage emerging technologies and data-driven insights to enhance productivity and outcomes.

What you’ll bring
Required
Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.

  • Significant experience managing complex technology implementation projects or programs, ideally within enterprise software, cloud, or insurance/financial services domains.
  • Proven track record leading Agile teams and ceremonies, with the ability to adapt frameworks pragmatically to customer and partner contexts.
  • Strong skills in project governance, risk management, and stakeholder management, including working with senior customer, partner, and internal leaders.
  • Proficiency with project and work management tools such as Jira or Rally, plus collaboration platforms like Confluence, SharePoint, and Microsoft Project.
  • Financial acumen to manage project budgets, forecasts, and partner costs, and to connect delivery metrics to commercial and value outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead effective meetings, clarify decisions, and drive accountability across distributed, multicultural teams.
  • Collaborative, low-ego working style aligned with Guidewire’s culture of determination, continuous improvement, and customer-centricity.

Preferred

  • Experience delivering or overseeing large-scale Professional Services or consulting engagements, ideally involving cloud migrations, AI-enabled delivery, or core system transformations.
  • Background in P&C insurance or prior experience with Guidewire products (such as PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter).
  • Formal project management or Agile certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, SAFe) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience working closely with global systems integrators and managing multi-vendor delivery environments.

Your Impact
We believe in clarity and setting you up for success. In your first months, you will take ownership of one or more Guidewire implementation programs, establish or refine governance structures, stabilize plans and backlogs, and build trusted relationships with customer sponsors, SI partners, and internal Professional Services leaders. You will be accountable for measurable outcomes such as on-time milestones, reduced rework, improved team throughput, and more predictable financial performance, directly supporting Professional Services’ FY26 goals to scale revenue, increase profit margin, and deploy AI capabilities across Guidewire-led and partner-led projects.
Over time, your work will help customers realize faster cloud and AI adoption, influence how partners deliver on the Guidewire platform, and contribute to Guidewire’s broader mission to transform how the world’s P&C insurers do business through reliable, innovative, and efficient services.

The people we employ give their all, and in return, we offer flexibility wherever we can, such as:
