Manager, Group Resilience – First Line of Defense

Join LSEG’s Group Resilience team as a specialist focused on ensuring that resilience requirements are consistently met across all divisions and corporate functions. This role is central to monitoring adherence, assessing vulnerabilities, supporting remediation, and ensuring that issues and concerns are appropriately escalated to strengthen the Group’s overall resilience posture.

The First Line of Defence (1LoD) Group Resilience team partners closely with business divisions and functional areas (technology, cyber, data, facilities, people, third‑party risk, etc.) to ensure that Operational Resilience requirements—including Important Business Services identification, impact tolerance management, scenario testing, and ongoing reporting—are met in line with regulatory expectations and internal policy.

Reporting to the Group Resilience Program Manager, the role requires an experienced practitioner who combines technical expertise with strong oversight discipline. The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring compliance, checking adherence to regulatory requirements, identifying and articulating risks, monitoring and supporting remediation activities. They will act as a trusted 1LoD partner, working constructively with stakeholders and the Group 2LoD Risk teams to ensure issues are surfaced early and addressed effectively.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Resilience Monitoring & Assurance

  • Monitor divisional and functional adherence to regulatory requirements for operational resilience
  • Conduct structured analytics and checks to assess compliance levels, highlight deviations and provide management insights.
  • Monitor remediation progress and support divisions and functions where required.
  • Maintain an audit trail of key assurance activities and related evidence in a structured manner
  • Undertake and support mapping of policies, standards, controls and metrics which align to regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure issues, concerns, and non-compliances are escalated promptly.

First Line Partnership & Support

  • Act as a key point of contact for divisions and functions on regulatory non-compliances and remediation status.
  • Maintain strong relationships with operational resilience leads and stakeholders.

Governance, Reporting & Documentation

  • Support preparation of materials for governance forums and working groups.
  • Develop regulatory adherence for resilience processes, contribute to regulatory mapping repository and storage of evidence.

Awareness, Training & Advisory

  • Assist in delivering training and awareness programs.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to uplift regulatory adherence for operational resilience capability across 1LoD.

Change, Regulatory Readiness & Continuous Improvement

  • Support regulatory change initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve monitoring, reporting, and assurance processes.
  • Maintain record of regulatory requirements, their adherence and evidences.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Technical & Regulatory Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of operational resilience frameworks and regulatory expectations. (e.g., DORA, PRA, FCA, NIST, ISO 22301/27001).
  • Direct experience working on operational resilience, regulatory expectations and standards would be preferred.
  • Experience in compliance monitoring, risk assessment, or assurance activities and ability to assess risks, issues, tech vulnerabilities and support remediation planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to develop use cases for automation of assurance and adherence analytical activities
  • Proficient in use of MS Office applications, experienced in use of GRC platforms, reporting tools

Communication, Stakeholder Engagement & Culture

  • Articulate and ability to convey complex topics clearly.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and engage across levels.
  • Attention to detail.

Desirable Certifications

CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ITIL, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, or similar certifications.
