Manager Sampling and FSB
Roles & responsibilities
Role Overview : The Sampling/FSB Solution Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting sophisticated solutions across the Sampling and FSB modules within the KPMG application/tool Workflow ecosystem. This includes functional ownership, technical oversight, orchestration of data pipelines, and integration with downstream audit workflows.
The professional will be responsible for:
Responsibility
Serve as the solution lead for KPMG application/tool Sampling and FSB modules, defining technical and functional roadmaps.
Lead requirement discovery, blueprinting, and end to end solutioning for new Sampling features (e.g., MUS, exception workflows, selection logic).
Ensure alignment with KPMG application/tool overall architecture and technical governance.
Drive enhancements that improve auditor experience, module robustness, and audit insights.
Develop deep expertise in Sampling (MUS, random sampling, stratified sampling) and FSB data structures, mappings, and workflows.
Understand how KPMG application/tool works including modules workflow mining, Sampling, and FSB
Validate Sampling logic, selection algorithms, and analysis workflows.
Interpret engagement data and guide teams on sample generation, exception classification, and audit alignment.
Conduct functional review of new feature proposals from business or audit leadership.
Prior exposure to audit processes, financial statements, or audit support tools is a strong plus.
Ability to lead cross functional projects, coordinate dependencies, and represent the solution area in leadership discussions.
Experience with Azure stack and Databricks is mandatory.
Development Support -
Maintaining the accurate and up to date project status for self and any assigned team member.
Prepare and review required documents supporting the project with utmost attention to details.
Identify opportunities to automate sample generation, selection workflows, reconciliation, and thresholding.
Drive performance optimizations in pipelines and Databricks jobs.
Recommend enhancements to improve scalability and reduce audit cycle time.
On time delivery of enhancements and deployments
Improved user experience for auditors using Sampling & FSB modules
Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing.
Collaborate with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications.
Ensure that effective project control, change control, risk management and testing processes are maintained
Lead projects –
Lead / participate in firm’s strategic initiatives and/or corporate social responsibility programs
Experience working in leading audit firms with proven project management skills — managing teams on multiple projects in client-facing roles
Drive ideas related to efficiencies, compliance and projects
Sound understanding of various internal frameworks and guidelines; ensuring adherence of self and team

Education Requirements
B. Tech (Computer Science / Information Technology) OR
MBA (Systems/ IT/Finance/ Data & Analytics/ SCM) along with Engineering (Computer Science, IT) OR
MCA (Master’s in Computer Applications)
6–12 years of total experience in Data Engineering / Workflow Applications / Analytics platforms.
3+ years specifically in Sampling, Audit workflow tools, or financial data processing preferred.
