JOB POSITION

• Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking Team Lead Medical Coding who can able to handle team members, and directly assisting customers as an Individual Contributor.
• Associate expertise will be instrumental in planning strategic procedures, improving work processes, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Set clear objectives, define roles and responsibilities and ensure each team member aligns with the team’s vision.
• Communicate expectations, goals and feedback to the group regularly and resolve any concerns or issues actively.
• Identify and address conflicts early, facilitating discussions and finding satisfactory solutions for all parties involved.
• Recognise and reward good performance, provide feedback and encourage professional development.
• Support team members’ professional development by providing opportunities for training and growth.
• Ensure team compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Support and guide team members to ensure they meet their individual targets and KPIs.
• Generate reports on team performance and provide regular updates to senior management.
• Analyze coding trends and identify areas for improvement in the coding process.
• Maintain effective communication with healthcare providers, clinicians, and billing teams to clarify coding-related matters and resolve issues.
• Attend internal and external meetings within and/or outside of regular business hours.

QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University equivalent that required 3+ years of formal studies.
• Current Coding Certification (CPC, CPC-P, CPC-H, CPC-I, CRC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA etc.) through AAPC and/or AHIMA.

                                                                                                                                    

EXPERIENCE

• Total 7+years with proven experience in reviewing of clinical documents, assigning appropriate medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and insurance requirements.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Review medical records and assign accurate diagnostic codes for HCC risk adjustment and Procedural coding.
• Strong knowledge on medical terminology, anatomy and Physiology.
• Adhere to coding guidelines and industry regulations (CMS, AMA, AHIMA, AAPC).
• Maintain compliance with HIPPA and other healthcare policies.
• Adaptable to change in business requirements.
• Proactive approach in identifying and mitigating risk related to coding and Associates.
