Technical Proficiency:

Ability to understand at least base level technical concepts and how system architecture work in real life and how data flows between systems. Reading and understanding code (preferably SQL and/or python) Reading system specification files/ ETL transfer logic between systems / interface files Understanding architecture diagrams / Entity Relationship Diagrams Database concept / data relationships understanding referential data Experience with testing incl. automated testing tools and data analysis Application specific knowledge (FTP, ICE, FCDP, FOTC alignment would be ideal) Communication: Effective communication is key to collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Ability to understand and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and act as a bridge between the two groups. A Critical task is to define and clarify business requirements that will be implemented on technology solutions.

Other desirable skills Data Governance:

Understands concepts of lineage, catalogue, and data governance to help stakeholders understand the value of the work being done so reduce resistance from stakeholders and ITSO’s. Understanding HSBC Data Governance Standards and processes. Automation Mindset: Ability to translate problems into logical way to automate problems and communicate and resolve it with the technical and business teams Problem-Solving and Testing: The ability to identify issues within data processes and develop effective solutions is crucial. This requires analytical thinking and a proactive approach to troubleshooting. It also requires proactive approach engaging relevant parties timely. Attention to Detail: Precision in documenting and reporting data lineage. Proficiency in analysing complex datasets and managing data flow across systems is vital. Project Management: Experience with project coordination and Agile methodologies. This may be required for a very specific area where we need to accelerate progress aligning with our plans and understanding the work and outcomes deeply. Adaptability and Quick Learner: Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to new technologies. Understanding Regulations: Key aspect of regulatory commitments and requirements are well digested E2E Approach: While focusing on specific areas, it is required to define and understand E2E view, our purpose, and key objectives in advance.
