What you will do:
Responsibilities:
- Designs portions of engineering solutions utilizing multiple engineering disciplines for products, systems, software, and solutions based on established engineering principles and in accordance with development technology practices and guidelines.
- Develops and implements parameters and test plans for existing designs, including validation of mechanical, electrical, software, and other engineering specifications and requirements.
- Collaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced development partners on engineering design and development.
- Participates as a member of project team of other engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for low to moderately- complex products.
- Successfully resolve technical issues (hardware and software) from incoming internal or external businesses and end user's contacts and proactive notification systems.
- Respond to service, product, technical, and customer- relations questions on subjects such as features, specifications, and repairs on current and discontinued products, parts, and options, based on customer entitlement (warranty through mission-critical).
- Resolve incoming internal or external businesses and end user's problems via telephone and e-support & ability to isolate and solve complex technical/business problems and be able to interact with people (customer and internal HPE) at all levels and geographies.
- Evaluate unique or complex installations or configurations and make recommendations for resolution. Possess a strong customer focus with the ability to control elevations, balancing the needs of the customer.
- Articulate both in writing and verbally case summary, resolution and add to Knowledge Management System (KMS).
- Represent company in a face-to-face customer location visit, industry conference/trade show, vendor meeting, etc.
- Engages team members for support as required to ensure internal or external business and end users/clients SLA demands are met.
- Begin to partner with and assist the Sales Pursuit team
- Must be a team player and show ability and willingness to motivate and support other engineers
- Must have a Customer Centric mind set with end-to-end ownership & deliver the expected business results by account centric approach & contribute to customer experience improvement

- Takes responsibility for delivery processes such as end-to-end problem ownership solutions.
- Leads high level cross organizational customer orientated projects
- Identify and contribute to projects to improve product support, customer satisfaction and team efficiency
What you need to bring:
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent with Min 6 Years of Relevant Skills
- Vocational: apprenticeship/certification completion. May be technical or non-technical. May include on- the-job training in addition to studies. In some locations, completion may be recognized by diploma. Advanced programs may be 2+ years. Associate degree: first attainable degree at the post-high school level. Typically, 2-year completion beyond High School level (i.e., Associate of Arts, GCE 'A' level (Singapore), etc.), or equivalent experience.
- Relevant industry qualification where applicable.
- Experience in relevant technologies and customer environments as per the Job Role
Knowledge and Skills:
- Using appropriate engineering design tools and software packages to design components and solutions.
- Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills.
- Understanding of material properties and hardware, software, and electrical component design.

- Using empirical analysis, modeling and testing methodologies to validate product designs and specifications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate design proposals and negotiate options.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in language to be supported & communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and can drive the conversation/discussion
- Excellent business judgment, decision making skills, negotiating skills, time-resource management, complex problem solving, in-depth product knowledge, creativity, teamwork, knowledge of quality processes, political astuteness, and sensitivity in dealing with diverse cultures and ability to learn quickly.
- Experience in troubleshooting in a technical environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Software and hardware knowledge of computing, storage, and peripheral devices.
- Advanced proficiency with case management databases and tools.
- Superior customer service skills along with Excellent presentation skills
- Phone and remote support experience. E-support experience and knowledge.
- Understand the customer to be an advocated for the customer
- Excellent leadership in technical problem management and resolution to issues by working closely with the end customers and HPE remote and field support staff.
Technical Skills: -
Demonstrated Experience in MCS Servers & Enclosures on HP-UX, Linux & relevant technologies on customer environments and solution support.
Product and troubleshooting knowledge: -
Hardware: -
Broad technical knowledge on Business-Critical Servers Services & Support (HP9K-PARISC/Integrity/MC990/Legacy Superdomes and Superdome Flex, SUS3200 and Cray XD Enclosures).
Fair knowledge on the Industry Standard Servers (Proliant, Blade…etc)
Installing, Configuring & Troubleshooting of Integrity Servers, C7000/C3000 enclosures, OA, Virtual Connects, Blade Switches - SAS, Ethernet & FC, Storage Blades etc.
Good Exposure to BCS Tools & Log Analytical Skills on – MCA Analyzer, IPF, IDC, WIIOT, Getsysinfo Script & MP Logs, IDC, UVdump, VC support dump etc.
Knowledge on DAS Storage (JBOD's) & HBAs – Smart Array/RAID,SAS, SATA, and NVMe, PMEM etc.
Server clustering in SAN , Connecting Blade Servers in to SAN infra
Fair Knowledge on SCSI Environments, FC HBA’s
Operating System: -
Basic HPUX Administration skills to troubleshoot Hardware issues and Understanding on Npar, Vpar and HPVM concepts.
Basic Operating Systems Knowledge on VMware, Windows, and Linux flavors.
Troubleshooting OS logs for hardware issues from VM-support, HPS report, SOS report, Support-Config etc.
Additional Skills: -
Exposure to Open VMS Operating System and HPE Oneview will be an added advantage
Basic knowledge on protocols, storage, and networking concepts
Knowledge on remote support tools and applications
Knowledge on attached networked storage hardware and concepts
Knowledge of remote deployment programs and monitoring concepts
