Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a seasoned Node.js Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable APIs and services that support organizational and client needs. The developer will drive technical excellence through innovative problem-solving, system optimization, and adherence to best practices in modern backend development. Their work will contribute to the organization’s goal of delivering robust digital solutions across multiple domains.

Software Requirements

Required:

• Proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in building scalable backend systems and APIs

• Hands-on experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js frameworks such as Express.js or Fastify

• Strong expertise in performance tuning, debugging, monitoring, and troubleshooting applications

• Extensive experience working with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB) for data modeling and management

• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes

• Familiarity with API gateway solutions such as 3Scale or similar platforms

• Understanding of security protocols like OAuth, JWT, and REST API security best practices

Preferred:

• Practical experience with GraphQL API development and integration

• Familiarity with serverless computing and cloud-native application deployment

Overall Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and deploy scalable backend services and APIs aligned with enterprise standards

• Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps, and product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance enhancements for applications

• Ensure security best practices are incorporated, including secure authentication and data protection measures

• Design and automate CI/CD pipelines to facilitate reliable deployment workflows

• Monitor system health, analyze performance data, and implement improvements for speed and reliability

• Stay updated on emerging backend technologies, toolsets, and industry trends, applying relevant innovations to projects

• Document APIs, system architecture, and technical decisions to support ongoing development and maintenance

Technical Skills (By Category)

Programming Languages:

• Essential: JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js

• Preferred: Scripting languages such as Shell scripting or Python for automation tasks

Databases/Data Management:

• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.) focusing on schema design, query optimization, and data security

Cloud Technologies:

• Deployment and monitoring of applications on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

• Application of cloud-native principles, serverless components, and cloud service integrations

Frameworks and Libraries:

• Express.js, Fastify, or similar for building REST APIs

• GraphQL (Apollo Server, GraphQL.js) for API development and integration

• Authentication libraries supporting OAuth, JWT, and security protocols

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in backend development using Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript

• Proven experience in developing and deploying scalable, high-availability APIs and microservices

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and monitor enterprise applications

• Experience working within Agile teams and across cross-functional environments

• Domain knowledge in banking, fintech, or other enterprise sectors is a plus

• Alternative candidates may demonstrate equivalent project experience, certifications, or contributions in high-traffic or mission-critical systems

Day-to-Day Activities

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs to meet business and technical requirements

• Perform code reviews, troubleshoot production environment issues, and optimize application performance

• Collaborate with team members during planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives

• Design, implement, and maintain API integrations, including security and performance tuning

• Automate deployment and CI/CD pipelines and monitor application health and metrics

• Document system architecture, APIs, and configuration details for ongoing support and improvements

• Stay informed on the latest backend development trends, tools, and best practices to ensure aplikasi remain current

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline

• Relevant certifications in Node.js, cloud computing, or DevOps practices (preferred)

• A demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development and emerging technology mastery
