As a Transaction Control Team Lead – Analyst in the Trade & Working Capital Operations team, you oversee daily operations for trade finance products. You ensure accurate and timely transaction processing in line with ICC guidelines and bank procedures. You provide expertise to support business needs and drive operational improvements. You maintain compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. You play a key role in risk management and process optimization.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations for trade finance products
  • Ensure timely and accurate transaction processing within agreed SLAs
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures as needed
  • Drive efficiency by implementing best practices and process improvements
  • Engage in new deals and participate in project management calls
  • Oversee smooth migration of processes and systems
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Handle reconciliation of accounts and trade payment entries
  • Manage payment messages including MT103, MT202, MT101
  • Support business needs with transactional expertise
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Graduate with minimum 5 years’ experience in Trade Finance Operations
  • Thorough knowledge of ICC Rules (UCP 600, ISBP, ISP, URR, URC)
  • Strong understanding of Anti-Boycott and OFAC Regulations
  • Proficient in handling payment messages (MT103, MT202, MT101)
  • Experience in account reconciliation
  • Skilled in trade payment entries (Nostro, Wash, SAP, etc.)
  • Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) or equivalent
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and compliance

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Additional certifications in trade finance
  • Experience with project management in financial operations
  • Familiarity with retail and wholesale banking processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience in process migration and change management
  • Ability to drive team performance and efficiency
