We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with strong experience in backend development, observability tooling, and cloud-native systems. This role will work hand-in-hand with our DevOps Engineer to build robust, scalable, and observable systems. You will be instrumental in developing services and SDKs in Python and Go, integrating with OpenTelemetry, and building middleware APIs using Flask and FastAPI to support internal tooling and integrations.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop backend services and APIs using Python and Go, with a focus on performance and scalability.
Build and maintain middleware services using Flask and FastAPI to support integrations, observability, and internal tooling.
Contribute to the development and integration of OpenTelemetry SDKs for distributed tracing and metrics.
Collaborate with DevOps to ensure seamless CI/CD integration and infrastructure compatibility.
Write clean, testable, and well-documented code following best practices.
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and performance tuning.
Work closely with DevOps to define SLIs/SLOs and improve system reliability.

Requirements:
Strong proficiency in Python and Go, with experience in building production-grade applications.
Hands-on experience with Flask and FastAPI for building RESTful APIs and middleware services.
Experience with OpenTelemetry SDKs and observability tooling (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger).
Familiarity with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous programming.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and Kubernetes.
Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Solid understanding of software engineering principles, testing, and debugging.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience contributing to or maintaining OpenTelemetry SDKs or similar observability tools.
Familiarity with gRPC, protobuf, and event-driven architectures.
Knowledge of performance profiling and optimization techniques.
Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tools like Terraform (in collaboration with DevOps).
