Our Professional Services team partners with property and casualty (P&C) insurers worldwide to implement and optimize Guidewire’s cloud platform, combining deep domain expertise with pragmatic delivery discipline.Job Description
We collaborate with customers, product teams, and partners to reduce time-to-value, de-risk complex transformations, and accelerate cloud adoption. You’ll join a culture grounded in determination, collaboration, continuous improvement, and bravery, where teams across 17+ countries work flexibly and in person to solve complex problems together. As a PMO - Senior Consultant, you will lead complex, multi-stream Guidewire implementations from initiation through go-live and stabilization, ensuring predictable, high-quality outcomes. You will combine agile delivery leadership, stakeholder management, and financial rigor to reduce implementation effort and time while protecting scope, quality, and release integrity.
This role offers the opportunity to embed AI-enabled methods and automation into project delivery, directly advancing Professional Services’ FY26 priorities to revolutionize services execution, accelerate cloud adoption, and drive measurable customer value and profitability.
What you’ll do
- Manage the full lifecycle of multiple concurrent Guidewire implementation projects—from discovery and mobilization through go-live and stabilization—ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with clearly defined customer value outcomes.
- Lead core Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Daily Scrums, Reviews, and Retrospectives) for Guidewire project teams, driving outcome-focused planning, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Drive and facilitate project governance structures, including steering committees, escalation forums, and decision-making routines across customers, system integrators, and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely, data-informed decisions.
- Proactively manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality; identify, analyze, and prioritize risks and issues; and implement mitigation and contingency plans that protect delivery commitments and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate and coach system integrators and other partners, setting clear expectations, managing financials and costs, and preventing scope creep to safeguard release integrity and Professional Services profitability targets.
- Prepare and deliver clear, data-backed status updates, dashboards, and executive briefings using tools such as Jira, Rally, SharePoint, Confluence, and Microsoft Project to provide accurate visibility and enable confident decision-making.
- Champion Professional Services’ FY26 priorities by embedding AI-enabled methods, accelerators, and automation into project execution to reduce implementation effort by up to 50% and time by up to 30%, and to support cloud migration, value realization, and scalable, repeatable delivery.
- Collaborate with peers to scale repeatable offerings, share best practices, and improve SI-led program outcomes, contributing to Professional Services goals for revenue growth, bookings, profit margin, and AI adoption across projects.
- At Guidewire, we foster a culture of curiosity, innovation, and responsible use of AI—empowering our teams to continuously leverage emerging technologies and data-driven insights to enhance productivity and outcomes.
What you’ll bring
Required
- Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.
- Significant experience leading complex technology implementation or transformation projects (ideally SaaS or cloud) in a customer-facing consulting, delivery, or program management role.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery practices and project governance, with hands-on experience running core ceremonies and managing cross-functional, distributed teams.
- Proven track record managing scope, schedule, budget, and quality across multi-workstream projects, including risk and issue management, change control, and commercial awareness (e.g., margins, utilization, and project financials).
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with senior customer leaders, partners, and internal teams.
- Experience collaborating with or managing system integrators and third-party partners on large-scale programs.
- Proficiency with delivery and tracking tools such as Jira or Rally, collaboration platforms such as Confluence or SharePoint, and project planning tools like Microsoft Project.
- Growth mindset with high learning agility, especially around AI, automation, and cloud delivery methods, and a commitment to inclusive, respectful collaboration in a global environment.
- Experience with P&C insurance business processes (policy, billing, claims, underwriting, or rating) and/or prior exposure to Guidewire products.
- Background in a global consulting or Professional Services organization, delivering enterprise software implementations across multiple regions or time zones.
- Familiarity with cloud migration programs, modernization initiatives, and value realization or benefits-tracking frameworks.
- Formal project or agile certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, SAFe, or equivalent).
- Degree in a relevant field (such as engineering, computer science, information systems, or business) or equivalent practical experience.
We believe in clarity and setting you up for success. In your first months, you will take ownership of one or more Guidewire implementation projects, stabilize governance, align scope and success metrics with customers, and introduce or refine Agile practices that bring transparency, predictability, and trust to delivery. You will work toward measurable outcomes: improved schedule adherence, reduced rework, clearer value tracking, and active use of AI-enabled methods and accelerators to shorten effort and time while supporting Professional Services revenue, bookings growth, and margin goals.
Over time, your leadership will shape how partners deliver, how customers experience Guidewire implementations, and how Professional Services scales AI-powered, cloud-first delivery to advance Guidewire’s mission of transforming how the world’s P&C insurers do business.
