Principal Engineer, Design Verification

Roles & responsibilities can include but are not limited to:

• Thoroughly understand design specs and develop verification plans for various designs.
• Create and maintain testbenches, test cases, and verification environments using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
• Perform functional, regression, and performance testing to ensure design correctness and robustness.
• Test bench Development in System Verilog targeting complete functionality coverage.
• Support of System Verilog assertion and coverage-driven methodology
• Run directed and constrained-random verification tests.
• Think through design corner cases and be able to write relevant cover points.
• Collaborate with digital design team to debug test cases and deliver functionally accurate designs.
• Close coverage measures to identify verification holes and to show progress towards tape-out.
• Technical support to internal and external model users
• Collaboration with Application engineers on design datasheet and model requirements
• Document verification processes, results, and methodologies for future reference and continuous improvement.

• Mentor and guide junior verification engineers, sharing best practices and knowledge.

 Education Requirement & eligibility:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in digital design verification.
• Proficiency in verification languages such as SystemVerilog, UVM, and VHDL.
• Strong understanding of digital design principles and methodologies.
• Experience with industry-standard verification tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Experience with formal verification techniques.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or TCL.
• Familiarity with FPGA and ASIC design flows.
• Experience in low-power design verification.
