PRINCIPAL QA ENGINEER - 9935 -Routing Protocol Testing- Python Automation

Job Description:
Extreme’s Service Provider OS Engineering team is a group of talented engineers dedicated to building scalable, reliable, and secure servicer provider-based solutions / products. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal SQA Engineer to understand the customer solutions and come up with test design / strategy for both functional and system solutions testing. This role is accountable for ensuring that all our system environments are architected, provisioned, and fully automated to support comprehensive end to end validation workflows—including functional verification, integration robustness checks, and high throughput performance and scalability testing
Educational Qualification and Experience:
B.E / B. Tech, MCA, M.E / M. Tech in CS/EEE/ECE with at least 13-20 years of relevant experience
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Strong Troubleshooting skills and working knowledge into VxLAN, BGP-EVPN and L3VPN (BGP/MPLS VPN), L2VPN (Pseudowire, VPLS) technologies• Strong Troubleshooting skills and working knowledge into Bridge Domain, VLAN, LACP, and QoS (Access / Fabric / CPU) technologies• Working Knowledge of Multi-chassis Link Aggregation (MLAG / MCT) Technologies• Working Knowledge of Layer-3 Protocols - IPv4/IPv6, OSPFv2/v3, IS-IS, BGP4, IGMP, PIM-SM/SSM• Working Knowledge of L2 protocols- (STP/MSTP/RSTP, 802.1q/ad/aq, 802.3ah, 802.1ag/Y.1731 (Ethernet OAM/CFM))• Strong Knowledge of product verification methodologies and strategies• Experience in performance and throughput testing• Experience in building system / customer solutions testbeds, test plans, and test validations• Experience in working with test tools like Ixia, STC and packet sniffers• Experience in scripting languages like Python, Perl, Tcl and Tk• Experience with Defect tracking tools and test case management tools like Quality Centre • Experience in version control systems like CVS, GitHub and test automation IDE Framework • Experience in tools development to optimize functional and system qualifications• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:• Complete exposure to the entire Product Life Cycle is a MUST• Network technology, TCP&IP stack/L2 Switching/L3 Routing etc• Open API/ OpenConfig NETCONF/Streaming Telemetry/GNMI/GRPC• Expert in Data centre Networking Protocols and technologies• Expert programming knowledge in scripting language• A quick learner with excellent communication skills • Tenacious approach towards problem solving • Eager to learn, adopt the latest technologies and best practices• Exceptional Written/Verbal Communication Skills
