JOB POSITION

Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking Senior QA Engineer who have experience in automation through selenium and python.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Proven work experience in software quality assurance: Extensive experience in QA roles across various industries, consistently delivering high-quality software products. Adept at identifying, documenting, and mitigating software defects.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools: Proficient in using automated testing tools like Selenium. Capable of designing and implementing automated test scripts to improve test efficiency and coverage.
• Solid knowledge of Java and Selenium: Strong programming skills in Java, with extensive experience in writing and maintaining Selenium test scripts. Able to create robust and reusable test frameworks.
• Preferable knowledge of tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, JUnit, Java, Maven, BitBucket, Bamboo, Jira, and Confluence: Familiar with using Cucumber for behavior-driven development (BDD), JUnit for unit testing, Maven for project management, BitBucket for version control, Bamboo for continuous integration, Jira for issue tracking, and Confluence for documentation.
• Knowledge of SQL and scripting: Proficient in writing SQL queries for database validation and data manipulation.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and Agile Testing processes: In-depth understanding of QA methodologies likeAgile. Proficient in using tools like QTest/JIRA for test management. Experienced in Agile Testing processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Demonstrated ability to perform and manage test execution activities: Worked on multiple test execution projects, ensuring thorough coverage and timely completion. Skilled in creating detailed test plans, executing test cases, and managing defect tracking and resolution.
• Understanding of Selenium grid Architecture and Troubleshooting Selenium grid issues : A strong understanding of hub and node architecture, how it routes test commands and how it manages sessions; Identifying and resolving problems with grid set up such as connection issues, node failures or session management problems.
  

Good to Have :

      

• API automation experience using Rest Assured is a plus: Hands-on experience in automating API tests using Rest Assured, including creating and executing test scripts for RESTful web services.
• Experience in BDD framework is advantageous: Skilled in implementing BDD frameworks using tools like Cucumber and SpecFlow. Able to write clear and concise Gherkin scenarios to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Required experience working in Agile/Scrum methodology: Extensive experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products.
• Experienced in scripting languages like Python and Shell for automating tasks and processes would be an advantage.
• Exposure to Python with Selenium test automation

QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, healthcare, or a related field.
  

EXPERIENCE

• 6+ years of experience in automation testing using technologies like Selenium, Python
• Extensive experience in QA roles across various industries, consistently delivering high-quality software products. Adept at identifying, documenting, and mitigating software defects.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Proficient in writing SQL queries for database validation and data manipulation
• Preferable knowledge of tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, JUnit, python, Maven, BitBucket, Bamboo, Jira, and Confluence
• Strong programming skills in Java, with extensive experience in writing and maintaining Selenium test scripts. Able to create robust and reusable test frameworks. Should be well versed with agile framework.
• Proficient in writing SQL queries for database validation and data manipulation.
• Familiar with using Cucumber for behavior-driven development (BDD), JUnit for unit testing, Maven for project management, BitBucket for version control, Bamboo for continuous integration, Jira for issue tracking, and Confluence for documentation.
