Roles and Responsibilities
The primary role of this position will be planning, authoring and administering software test plans to detect and diagnose errors & bugs of applications prior to their installation. In this capacity, you will be defining and performing test strategies and associated scripts for the verification and validation of the application and ensuring that it meets all defined business requirements and associated functionality.
In this capacity, your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with Stakeholders, Product Managers, System Architects, Business Analysts to develop effective strategies, review Business Requirement & Functional Specification Design Documents and analyze them for creating test scripts.
- Prepare test plans, test cases, test procedures, test reports including test methodologies and test summaries for the application under test, towards functional, GUI and regression testing using automated and manual methods.
- Create Requirement Traceability Matrix between Requirements and Test Cases.
- Perform regression, integration, platform, and performance testing to certify the stability and usability of software.
- Perform cross browser testing to verify functionality of web applications.
- Detect software failures so that defects may be discovered and corrected.
- Create logs to document testing phases and defects.
- Work closely with business and developers in bug triage and ensure closure of bugs.
- Provide comprehensive software release documentation and train support staff after compiling the QA test outcomes.
- Participate in standup and QA meetings to provide updates on test planning, retrospective and QA status. Also, communicate bug status and test case coverage status in these discussions.
- Perform Smoke Testing on Production.
- Shadow Senior QA Analyst in daily roles and responsibilities.
Technical and Interpersonal Skills
- Prior experience in Quality Assurance Testing.
- Experience in HRMS and SAP Success Factors will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge to use any defect tracking tools.
- Keen eye for detail and passion about quality.
- Personal drive and positive work ethic to deliver results within tight deadlines and in demanding situations.
- Establish strong professional relationships with global & countries.
- Proven problem-solving skills; ability to drive through to solution in circumstances of complexity and ambiguity.
- Communicate and coordinate within and outside of the team.

Education/ Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering or Technology (mandatory).
