The Group has also established an MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) facility in Gurugram to provide comprehensive avionics maintenance and repair services to Indian airlines and support the growth of the local aviation industry.Thales India Engineering Competency Center in Bangalore is seeking Quality Assurance Manager. This role is responsible to establish and implement a rigorous Quality Assurance System compliant to the ECC’s policies, processes, instructions while ensuring the delivery of high quality products, which meets internal quality criteria as well as customer contractual requirements.
Qualifications: B.Tech in Electronics & Communication or Electrical engineering or equivalent with 8 yrs - 15 yrs of relevant experience in avionics or defense domain
Skills and competences requirements:
- Expertise in Aerospace Guidelines - RTCA DO-254, DO-160, DO 178C
- Familiarity of standards MIL-STD-461G, MIL-STD-810G and compliance requirements
- Experience in Planning and performing QA activities as per the Project / Product Life Cycle
- Good experience in performing sample reviews of product life cycle data viz. Requirements, Design, Implementation, Test, V&V, Qualification
- Good experience in performing process Quality Compliance as per the defined life cycle
- Good experience in performing internal audits as per Thales QMS - TIMS
- Perform QA compliance checks for Product & Project milestones as per Thales Chorus viz PDR, CDR, TRR, PRR, TQR
- Experience in generating QA records – like Sample reports, compliance reports,
- Good knowledge Quality Management Process in compliance with one or more quality standards – ISO 9001-2015 and AS 9100
- Good knowledge on KPI / Metrics Analysis and provide insight
- Experience in performing Root Cause Analysis / Problem Solving using 5-Why, Ishikawa or 8D methodologies
- Experience in understanding Project Quality requirements and tailor the Chorus process appropriately
- Experience in identifying and supporting ‘Continuous Improvement’ opportunities
- Competences and experience for electronic design
- Competences and experience for electronic tests
Job Responsibilities:
The jobholder is responsible for the following activities
- Define project quality plan compliant with Thales Chorus or Business Line process and Implement QA activities as per the project quality plan
- Adjust Quality Assurance activities with a risk-driven mindset, anticipating risks, taking into account the maturity of Project team, and focusing on core Quality value-added activities
- Ensure that the project deliverables comply with the requirements and with the applicable regulations and standards with required level of Quality
- Support the project team in applying processes, proactively identifying risks and resolving problems
- Ensure that the technical and non-technical requirements are recorded, understood and managed efficiently by project team
- Experience in implementing Aerospace Quality Standards (AS-9100) or equivalent
- Provide independent process assurance that the planned HW life cycle processes are followed and resulting output supports DO-254 & DO 160
- Good knowledge in Certification Plan, Quality Assurance Plan, Configuration Management Plan, Development Plan & Verification Plan.
- Participates in Product functional tests, pre-qualification tests and witness the qualification tests
- Reviews QTPs and QTRs and signs the test sheets.
