S/4HANA SD_Manager

Key Responsibilities Strategy & Roadmap
  • Define and maintain the S/4HANA SD product roadmap aligned to business goals (Revenue, Margin, CX, Working Capital).
  • Champion SAP Activate practices and S/4 innovations (Fiori apps, Advanced ATP, condition contracts, embedded analytics).
  • Identify value opportunities (pricing optimization, credit & risk management, returns, rebates/settlements).
Solution Ownership (O2C)
  • Own end-to-end O2C processes: lead-to-quote, order management, pricing, availability, delivery, shipping, billing, returns, credit/debit notes, rebates/settlements, credit management.
  • Govern global template design; manage variants for regions/business units while preserving standardization.
  • Ensure robust integration with MM/LE, FI-AR, PP, TM, EWM, GTS, CRM/CPQ, and third-party interfaces (EDI/IDoc/API).
Delivery Leadership
  • Lead a blended team (internal FTEs & partners) of functional consultants, solution architects, and AMS.
  • Orchestrate releases: fit-to-standard, backlog grooming, sprint planning, UAT, cutover, and hypercare.
  • Oversee functional specs, WRICEF build quality.
Operations & Support
  • Own SD incidents, problems, and change management within SLAs/OLAs.
  • Establish monitoring & controls (pricing condition records, output/print forms, tax, credit checks, ATP).
  • Maintain master data governance (customers, sales areas, price conditions, partner functions).
Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure SOX/ITGC compliance, audit readiness, and segregation of duties.
  • Manage data privacy & regulatory requirements (GST/VAT, e-invoicing, e-way bill, export docs as applicable).
Stakeholder Management
  • Act as the single point of contact for Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Finance.
  • Drive change management and training; improve adoption of Fiori and self-service analytics.
People Leadership
  • Build capabilities (mentoring, certification plans), performance manage team, and cultivate continuous improvement culture.
  • Manage partner performance, contracts, and budgets.
Required Qualifications
  • 10–14 years of SAP experience with 7+ years in SAP SD and 3+ years in S/4HANA (1909 or later).
  • 2+ end-to-end S/4HANA implementations in SD; experience rolling out a global template.
  • Deep hands-on in SD configuration: sales docs, item categories, pricing (V/08), output management, delivery & shipment, billing, returns, intercompany, and credit management (S/4 FSCM).
  • Strong integration with FI (AR, revenue recognition), MM/LE, PP, and TM/EWM; practical EDI/IDoc/API experience.
  • Exposure to Fiori apps for SD, embedded analytics (CDS views), AATP, and condition contract management (rebates).
  • Proven team leadership, vendor management, and program governance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/IT/Business; SAP S/4HANA Sales certification preferred.
Nice-to-Have
  • Experience with CPQ/CRM, Pricing engines, tax engines (GST/VAT), and e-invoicing.
  • Knowledge of SAP GTS, EWM, TM, and BTP integrations.
  • Domain exposure in Manufacturing/Distribution/Consumer/Retail.
Key KPIs & Outcomes
  • O2C cycle time reduction; on-time order confirmation/delivery.
  • Billing accuracy & dispute reduction; DSO improvement.
  • Backlog throughput and release predictability; zero Sev-1 repeats.
  • Template adherence & reduction in custom code; % standard usage.
  • User adoption: Fiori usage, training completion, ticket deflection.
Tools & Methods
