SA2 / Assistant Manager -Product Integrity Team - Sr. (QA)

 Roles & responsibilities 
Responsible for executing established QA methodologies, processes and test strategies that guide Agile software testing and contribute to overall quality of applications 
Serve as a QA subject matter expert, providing guidance on testing best practices, tools, and methodologies
Mentor and coach junior and mid-level QA engineers to elevate overall team capability.
Advocate for quality throughout the SDLC and promote a shift-left testing mindset.
Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for functional, regression, integration and system, and UAT testing.
Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify gaps and test scenarios early.
Manage defect lifecycle, including root cause analysis and collaboration with development teams for resolution
Ensure adequate test coverage across UI, API, backend, and data layers.
Develop, maintain, and enhance test automation frameworks and scripts. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
Effectively communicate testing activities and status. Prepare status reports for management.
Lead in QA estimation, planning, and quality risk analysis
Identifies opportunities for process improvements, working in collaboration with the product owners, developers, project managers and business stakeholders to ensure quality alignment
Lead the defect triage and participates in continuous defect review process.

Mandatory  technical & functional skills
Expertise in software quality assurance/engineering and automation.
Strong experience with manual and automated testing methodologies. 
Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, etc.)
Experience testing APIs and services (e.g., REST, SOAP, Postman, REST Assured).
Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and DevOps practices.
Proficiency with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Must have experience working with distributed team members. 
Must be extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication. 
Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Azure Load). 
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)

B. Tech/B.E/MCA (Computer Science / Information Technology) 
Work experience
Minimum of 7 years of experience in software quality assurance, including 2 years in a lead role.
