Security Architect


As a member of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) organization, the Cybersecurity Architect provides technical leadership to ensure the security of the company’s products and infrastructure. This role supports both internal and client-facing initiatives by guiding the implementation of security technologies, leading incident response efforts, and supporting compliance audits.


You will collaborate across development, operations, and IT teams to embed security best practices into company processes and systems. Representing cybersecurity leadership, you will advocate for secure design and operations while leading strategic and technical initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert cybersecurity guidance across the organization, supporting secure product and infrastructure design.
  • Represent the CISO in cross-functional engagements, offering security expertise to business and technical stakeholders.
  • Lead cybersecurity projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery of results.
  • Drive implementation and optimization of security tools and processes.
  • Investigate security incidents and support internal and client audits.
  • Develop and deliver training on cybersecurity policies, procedures, and emerging threats.
  • Research industry trends and make strategic recommendations to enhance the security posture.
  • Lead data protection efforts and other security programs as needed.
  • Participate in and support internal and external audit activities to demonstrate compliance.
  • Identify and resolve issues that impact security goals, using sound judgment and business insight.
  • Promote continuous improvement in cybersecurity practices across teams.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in security architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Hands-on experience across multiple cybersecurity domains (e.g., network, application, and systems security; security operations).
  • Proficiency in conducting security testing and documenting results.
  • Expertise in Azure cloud architecture and security services.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing security infrastructure (e.g., firewalls, load balancers, switches, routers).
  • Familiarity with enterprise technologies (e.g., Windows/Linux OS, NAS/SAN, VMware).
  • Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Sumo Logic) for monitoring and analysis.
  • Background in threat modeling, vulnerability management, and penetration testing.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 2700x, SOC I/II, HIPAA, GDPR, HITRUST).
  • Strong awareness of emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies.
  • Effective communicator with strong presentation, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Office Message Encryption (OME).
  • Security certification preferred (e.g., Security+, CISSP, GIAC).
