Sector Lead (9-12 years)

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced professional with 9-12 years of experience in Wealth Management (WM) & Private Banking (PB) credit risk management. The ideal candidate must be a postgraduate and possess direct experience in WM, PB credit risk management / Lombard lending LTV assignment.

 

Key Roles & Responsibilities

 

Portfolio management

  • Actively monitor the Private banking portfolio performance across segments, booking locations and propose actions to relevant stakeholders and committees as necessary.
  • Assignment of standard and non-standard Loan to Values (LTV) across all wealth products (bonds, equities, structured products, managed investments and derivatives).
  • Assess and opine on complex structured Private banking transactions in Retail and Private Banking segments.
  • Responsibility to uphold the integrity of Private banking risk/return decisions, and in particular for ensuring that risks are properly assessed (including product approvals and LTV assessment) and are controlled in accordance with the bank’s standards and its risk appetite.
  • Partner with the business on strategic initiatives in Wealth Management and Private Banking.

 

Process improvement and compliance

  • Continuously improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of risk management processes.
  • Conduct training sessions for new team members and other stakeholders internally.
  • Maintain a good understanding of the requirements of key external stakeholders in respect of risk management and ensure these are well understood internally and reflected in internal procedures.
  • Ensure that material risk exposures and related issues are reported to the responsible governance committees. 

 

Franchise and business development

  • Liaise with top tier large and regional banks with the aim of generating new business in the PB space.
  • Liaise with business heads and business development team to identify opportunities and drive market outreach for credit and lending offerings for PB clients.
  • Develop an account plan for identified target clients including insights on relevant businesses and their key decision makers.
  • Work closely with the members of the sales team on proposals, Requests for Proposal and Request for Information responses.
  • Take initiatives towards franchise development to demonstrate Crisil’s domain leadership (in white papers, point of view notes, webinars, etc.).

 

 

 

 

Job Skills & Qualifications

Essential

  • MBA/CA/CFA
  • 9 + years of substantial experience in the financial services industry with understanding of the dynamics of private banking asset classes, price movements, and volatility assessment.
  • Strong understanding of credit related processes and operational risk management
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully with multi-cultural teams in diverse locations.
  • Regulatory & compliance acumen – Strong working knowledge of private‑banking regulatory frameworks such as KYC/AML, CDD, EDD, bank secrecy act (BSA) and local fair‑lending rules. Maintain documentation standards for secured and unsecured lending and ensure adherence to internal audit and compliance checklists.
  • Communication & stakeholder management – Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to translate complex financial concepts into clear recommendations for clients, relationship managers, and senior risk officers. Skilled at listening to client needs, diagnosing business problems, and proposing tailored wealth management solutions.
  • Independent, high-pressure performance – Proven track record of delivering accurate credit assessments and compliance checks under tight timelines with minimal supervision, ensuring timely decision making for high value private banking transactions.

 

Preferred

  • CFA/FRM certification will be considered an advantage.
  • Direct experience in Private Banking credit risk management / Lombard lending LTV assignment considered a strong advantage.

 

 

Senior Analyst (3-5 years)

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced professional with 2-5 years of experience in credit risk management in Wealth Management (WM) &Private Banking  (PB) domain. The ideal candidate must be a graduate and possess strong background in credit assessment, private banking leasing, and portfolio management. This position is primarily responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of shortfall management and margin call processes, thereby safeguarding the bank's financial stability and mitigating potential risks.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

 

Shortfall Management and Margin Call Process

  • The analyst will ensure that shortfall management and margin call processes are executed accurately and timely, aligning with the bank's policies and regulatory requirements.
  • This involves alerting First Line stakeholders of shortfall accounts, agreeing to remediation plans, raising to local Credit team if extension is required and work with First Line Managers in execution of sell down as required.
  • Monitor and manage credit risks associated with shortfall accounts and margin calls, ensuring timely identification and mitigation of potential risks.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate identified risks, enhancing the overall risk management framework.

 

Support to Credit Risk Officers

  • The analyst will provide comprehensive support to Credit Risk Officers in various aspects of credit risk management. This includes assisting in the follow-up with First Line on timely credit application submissions, follow up with First Line on compliance to approved credit conditions, monitoring facility limit excesses, overseeing concentration risk etc.
  • The analyst will act as a liaison between the Private Banking Credit Risk team and other First Line stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations and effective risk management.

 

Reporting and Governance

  • The analyst will be responsible for conducting detailed internal and external reporting for the Private Bank Credit team. This includes preparing Committee packs submissions, Risk appetite reporting, Credit portfolio reporting, and regulatory submissions.
  • The role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to compile and present complex data in a clear and concise manner, ensuring that all reports meet the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure all credit risk management activities comply with the bank’s policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Support a culture of compliance, risk awareness, and proactive risk management with fellow stakeholders and business partners.
