Senior Associate 1

 Roles & responsibilities 
Responsible for applying preliminary understanding of the applicable independence rules & regulations in executing testing procedures, including standard operating procedures, that contribute to providing basic guidance to field professionals/partners on the application of firm policy and regulatory rules and on the application of such policy & rules in an area that requires limited judgment.
Assist in maintaining the personal independence standards and/or routine in accordance with personal independence standards or firm policy
Ensure that the work is planned, organized, and performed by self and team by guiding them and performing upfront / postmortem reviews on deliverables to ensure Quality and timely delivery of work with Efficiency
Escalate any issues identified on a timely basis to the GDC Assistant Managers and Managers, as well as seek possible resolution from them
Understand and capture comments during quality review and from onshore teams to conduct root cause analysis and to provide feedback to team for self and team development and assist in creating preventive and detective measures.  
Demonstrate professionalism, industry competence and clarity of communication when dealing with the Onshore teams
Develop self by participating in and developing others by facilitating Independence conceptual trainings and ensuring that team members are trained
Perform research, analyze data, make rule-based decisions and determinations, and document the work performed and results to support conclusions
Use tools and techniques to perform Independence related checks for performing compliance testing activities
Actively get involved on business and Independence specific knowledge development initiatives at GDC

Mandatory  technical & functional skills
Advanced knowledge of Independence rules and regulations

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including
Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
