Senior Associate 2 PD (Scrum master)

Roles & Responsibilities

Serve as a servant-leader and Agile coach for Scrum teams, fostering a culture of transparency, ownership, and continuous improvement.Facilitate all core Agile ceremonies — Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Grooming.Ensure Product Backlog refinement is regularly conducted with the Product Owner to maintain sprint readiness.Support the Product Owner in defining clear Sprint Goals, breaking down epics into actionable user stories, and prioritizing value delivery.Promote cross-functional collaboration across development, QA, design, and product teams to ensure smooth and predictable delivery.Utilize JIRA, Confluence, and other Agile tools to maintain sprint boards, monitor progress, and generate insightful reports for stakeholders.Champion Agile metrics (velocity, burn-down charts, cumulative flow diagrams) to drive data-informed retrospectives and delivery improvements.Facilitate dependency mapping, risk management, and stakeholder alignment, especially in multi-team and cross-functional environments.Drive the removal of team-level and organizational-level impediments to enhance team productivity and flow.Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile best practices, values, and frameworks to increase team maturity and agile adoption.Guide the team through organizational Agile transformation initiatives, including scaling frameworks like SAFe, if applicable.

Foster a psychologically safe environment where team members can freely express ideas, take risks, and learn from failures.

Mandatory  technical & functional skills

Deep understanding of Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban and core Agile principles.Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time, etc.).Ability to manage multiple teams, handle blockers efficiently, and ensure sprint commitments are met.

Demonstrated capability in coaching teams to improve performance and Agile maturity.

Preferred technical & functional skills

JIRA Automation expertise for workflow optimization and dashboard customization.Working knowledge of SAFe Agile practices, roles, and ceremonies.Familiarity with Program Increment (PI) planning, ART coordination, and scaled agile environments (SAFe, LeSS).

Key behavioral attributes/requirements

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skillsExcellent collaboration skills, and experience of working with distributed teams and hybrid work environments. 
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify and present complex situations clearly.Willingness to learn new technologies and work on them.

Educational qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II), or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) preferred.

Work experience

6-8 years of experience working as a Scrum Master or in Agile Project Management roles.Proven track record of leading multiple Agile teams and facilitating end-to-end delivery.Experience managing Agile teams of 20–25 developers across multiple pods, driving collaboration, efficient sprint execution, and high-performance delivery.
