Roles & responsibilities

As an accounting technician, you will have the opportunity to support the growth of our KPMG Family Office and assist our Family Office team and clients in their bookkeeping for both personally and corporately held investments. Your strong organizational skills and resourcefulness will enable you to effectively manage the bookkeeping of multiple clients and ensure that KPMG clients receive superior service, all under the supervision of experienced colleagues. Working as Senior Associate  in this team, your responsibilities will include:

 

 

Record daily business transactions such as cash receipts and disbursements.Validate pending investment transactions uploaded via data feed dailyUpload and validate investments transactions on a weekly basis if data feed is unavailableDocument and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactionsTrack and coordinate all formal papering of business transactionsKeep track of accounts receivable and accounts payable. Provide support to team members in related tasks.Manage the reconciliation of bank accounts.Maintain client files to ensure accurate and timely completion of returns and schedules.Prepare interim and annual trial balance and financial statements, when requiredCollect and summarize account information for investment reporting purposes, when requiredPrepare quarterly investment reports when required 

This role is for you if you have  the below

Educational qualifications

Post-secondary degree in accounting or a related fieldWork ExperienceMinimum of 3-4 years of professional experience, preferably from Financial Services and/ Fund accounting

Preferred technical & functional skills

Established experience in accounting cycle and balance sheet reconciliation.Strong MS Excel skillsStrong Eton – Atlas V skills or strong working knowledge of other investment bookkeeping/reporting tools such as Addepar.
