Senior Production Support Consultant - Database & Application Performance Monitoring

Senior Consultant

We are seeking a skilled L2 Production Support professional with an experience of 6-8 years and strong focus on Database and AppDynamics to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance. Candidate will collaborate closely with SQL and Oracle DB teams to analyze issues, provide actionable recommendations, and ensure high availability of enterprise applications. This role is ideal for a proactive problem-solver passionate about database operations and application performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities and Skills:

• Monitor database performance using AppDynamics, identifying bottlenecks, anomalies, and optimization opportunities in real-time.
• Collaborate with SQL Server and Oracle DB teams to troubleshoot production issues, root cause analysis, and implement fixes.
• Provide recommendations for query tuning, indexing, and schema improvements based on AppDynamics insights.
• Work with application development and operations teams to integrate AppDynamics dashboards for proactive database health monitoring.
• Perform SQL query analysis, execution plan reviews across SQL Server and Oracle environments.
• Document troubleshooting processes, create knowledge base articles, and conduct post-incident reviews to prevent recurrence.
• Support incident management, on-call rotations, and disaster recovery testing for database-related outages.
• Stay updated on AppDynamics best practices, Oracle/SQL features, and emerging database monitoring tools.
