Senior Director Product Management - Sports Experience

JOB TITLE: Director Product Management

LOCATION: Bangalore

Job Summary: As a Senior Director of Product Management – Sports Experience, you will lead the strategy and development of JioHotstar’s next-generation interactive sports viewing experiences, focused on deepening fan engagement during live events. You will define the product vision and roadmap to embed real-time fan participation, interactive overlays, and AI-powered conversational experiences directly within the live watch journey. Your mission is to transform passive sports streaming into an immersive, participatory experience for millions of fans. In this role, you will define a scalable real-time engagement platform that powers live sports interactions at hyper-scale, enabling features such as contextual match insights, fan participation experiences, and conversational AI assistants grounded in live match data. You will lead and grow a high-performing team of product managers while driving alignment across engineering, design, data science, analytics, and content teams to deliver innovative sports experiences across mobile, web, and connected TV platforms.

What will you do?

  • Develop and own the product strategy and roadmap for JioHotstar’s Sports Experience, focused on transforming live sports viewing through real-time fan engagement, differentiated sports experiences and AI-powered conversational experiences embedded within the live watch journey
  • Create value through a clear product vision for interactive sports viewing, addressing complex product and platform challenges holistically while building a strong culture of ownership, experimentation, and execution within the product organization
  • Develop frameworks and strategies to analyze the sports streaming and fan engagement landscape, identify technology and data partnerships (sports data providers, AI ecosystems), and unlock new opportunities to deepen fan participation and engagement
  • Drive data analytics, experimentation, and user research to refine interactive sports experiences, optimize engagement funnels, and improve discovery and adoption of real-time features during live events
  • Lead the development of AI-driven sports experiences, including conversational assistants grounded in live match data, while establishing evaluation frameworks, safety guardrails, and high-quality user experiences
  • Innovate with a long-term vision for interactive and AI-powered sports viewing, balancing experimentation with platform reliability and operational readiness for massive live event concurrency spikes
  • Demonstrate strong ownership, action bias, and cross-functional leadership by collaborating closely with engineering, design, data science, analytics, and content teams, driving accountability and guiding teams to deliver high-impact products at scale
  • Build and mentor a high-performing product management organization, establishing strong execution rhythms, launch readiness processes, and continuous improvement through data-driven insights and post-launch learnings
  • Who should apply for this role?

  • Expertise in building and scaling large consumer-facing digital experiences across multiple platforms (mobile, web, and connected TV) while driving high engagement, retention, and growth
  • Experience in conversational AI, generative AI, or AI-powered product experiences is a strong plus
  • Proven track record of hiring, leading, and mentoring high-performing product management teams in fast-paced technology environments
  • Strong ability to prioritize strategic roadmaps, execute cross-functional initiatives, and deliver high-impact consumer experiences

  • Passionate about building large-scale consumer products, working closely with engineering teams on technical design, architecture, and platform scalability
