Senior Engineer

Job Purpose: 
The Senior Engineer is accountable for conducting testing of polymer products based on various assignments. He must ensure on 
time completion, correctness of test data and support in preparation of test reports.  

Key Responsibilities: 

• Independently perform HDT/VICAT, IMPACT, UTM tests, MFI, Capillary Rhinometry tests or analyses using a variety of complex methods and techniques, which may require solving problems inherent with the methodology also including developing new methods for validation. E

• Execution of the allocated assignments. 

• Responsible for Annual Maintenance & Calibration of Equipment as per calendar 

• Providing support in report preparation and documentation 

• QC and benchmarking of Ashirvad products  

• Conduction of the following activities for maintaining ISO-17025   

• Ensuring Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) in place and being followed 

• Adherence to the latest norms & standards for testing 

• New method development (as necessary) 

• Maintaining stock of Spare parts 

• Ensuring equipment calibration and preventive maintenance as per plan. 

• Calibration certificate verification of equipment 

• Daily checking of logbook/utilization 

• Maintaining and updating of History card 

• Repeat Testing 

• Intermediate check including SRM/IRM Testing 

• Maintaining stock of spare parts  

• Material retention and disposal management 

• Perform all tasks in a safe manner and ensuring good housekeeping & 5S. 

Requirement:

• Master’s degree in disciplines related to Polymer Engineering/Science, Plastic Technology 

• 1-2 years of industry experience preferred

• Experience in testing physical properties of polymers 

• Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills – both written and verbal 

• Proven ability to build effective cross functional working relationships
