Senior Engineer - Design

Role Summary

Is responsible for supporting the conceptualisation and (digital) modelling of engineering designs for new or existing products, components or assemblies.

Responsible for the design and development of automotive filters for passenger car applications

Main Tasks

• Responsible for Design & Development projects/tasks in the Engineering business unit – Original Equipment- Passenger Car Air Filter Systems according to customer requirements under consideration of M+H standards by establishing a product requirement.
• Work on design of new development projects from a concept phase until mass production for complete air filter systems.
• Creation as well as modification of technical data in PDM System (CDB)
• Creation as well as modification of 3D models, Assemblies and 2D Drawings in CAD-System Catia V5
• Manages engineering changes according to TCM process/ customer requirements
• Support & coordination of engineering activities within a project (concept development, Proto sample development, validation, plant support, quality support, field complanits etc.)
• Support and Coordination internal/external and for projects / workflows from other MH sites globally (Customer projects, development projects, cost down projects, innovation projects, field testing etc...)

Experience

• BE Mechanical/Automotive, with 4 to 6 years of experience
• Key Knowledge - Expert in 3D modeling and 2D drawings with CatiaV5
• Key Knowledge - GD&T, Tolerance Stack-up
• Knowledge about Air filter Systems for Internal Combustion Engines advantageous
• Knowledge on Plastics Injection molding.
• Knowledge in automotive IC Engines / NEV Systems advantageous
• Ability to work in team and good communication and presentation skills.
• Flexible, hardworking, highly motivated person with proactive approach to work.
• Domestic travel is mandatory for Customer, plant and supplier visits
• Experience in working with MS-Office. (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• Fluency in English. (written and spoken)
