About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineer to join our Automotive Battery Management Systems (BMS) engineering team as a Senior Hardware Design Engineer based in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and validating hardware design (PCB) solution. This role involves working closely with cross‑functional teams—including firmware, software, and system engineering—to deliver reliable and high‑performance hardware solutions. The candidate must be self-motivated, willing to learn exciting new technologies, develop new product solutions, exhibit strong PCB design skills and work effectively within a talented group of individuals across multiple development locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design digital and/or analog circuits, schematics, and PCB layouts. Build and evaluate hardware prototypes.
  • Discussion with all stakeholders for requirement gathering for hardware design
  • Participate in peer reviews for schematics, layouts, and test plans.
  • Ensure designs meet regulatory and industry standards (EMI/EMC, safety, RoHS, etc.).
  • Conduct signal integrity, power integrity simulations and thermal tests.
  • Perform board bring‑up, debugging, and hardware validation using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power meters, etc.).
  • Debug and resolve system issues with cross functional team from design, test, and applications.
  • Create detailed design documentation, test reports, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate in a dynamic team environment to learn and deploy best practices in application development

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  • 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in mixed signal PCB design and associated CAD/Simulation tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, Cadence, KiCad).
  • Familiarity with battery management systems, power electronics, or similar automotive domains
  • Knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, processors, and interfaces (SPI, I²C, UART, USB, PCIe, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of python is preferred
  • Direct experience with tools for requirements, tasks, and documentation management such as Jira, Jama, Confluence, or similar platforms
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven track record for solving complex problems via planning, debug, data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Be self-motivated, willing to take on responsibility, and show initiative in identifying and solving challenging technical problems.

Preferred (Nice to Have):

  • Hands-on Experience with EMI/EMC Testing is additional advantage
  • Knowledge of functional safety and diagnostics in automotive domain
  • Strong Python skills for scripting, test automation, or validation tasks.
