THE ROLE

Join the Fusion team and lead the charge in redefining enterprise storage by unifying block, file, and object protocols across hybrid-cloud environments. You will combine deep technical expertise in distributed systems with hands-on people leadership to guide architectural decisions and mentor high-impact engineers. This is a unique opportunity to build new engineering teams from the ground up and drive industry-leading innovation alongside Product and Architecture partners. Your work will directly impact how customers consume, scale, and operate mission-critical storage infrastructure.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Establish and scale a new engineering organization focused on critical Fusion platform services, ensuring a foundation of long-term success, technical excellence, and a high-performing culture.

• Own the successful delivery of complex, high-scale engineering features for the Fusion platform, ensuring world-class security, reliability, and availability across multi-array and hybrid-cloud deployments.

• Define the technical vision and execution roadmap in close partnership with Product Management and Architecture, translating customer needs into a measurable business impact for Pure Storage.

• Drive a culture of operational rigor, owning the refinement of engineering processes around observability, CI/CD, and incident response, while actively mentoring the next generation of technical leads.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Leadership and Scaling: Proven ability to successfully build, scale, and lead high-performing engineering teams, including establishing a new organization from its inception.

• Technical Domain Expertise: Extensive expertise in large-scale distributed systems and systems software, with deep domain knowledge in storage, data protection, operating systems, or cloud-native infrastructure.

• Architectural Guidance and Influence: The technical depth to provide architectural guidance on complex design challenges and effectively influence technical strategy across partner organizations.

• Operational Execution: Demonstrated success in owning the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and delivering production-ready, highly reliable services in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.

• We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Bangalore office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
